10.01.2022 Tamworth Baptist Church Coronavirus Update Dear Brothers and Sisters, With so much uncertainty and so many things being cancelled we wanted to let you know what is happening at Tamworth Baptist Church.... At our church we want to care for those who are vulnerable and we will follow all government guidelines. But we also want to continue to encourage each other to trust in God, especially in times of increased danger. We are prepared to do things differently to find ways to protect our people and encourage them to keep trusting Jesus. Tamworth Baptist Church will be meeting this Sunday 22nd March at 10am and 6pm, but with precautions. Stay at Home If you are unwell at all you must stay at home. This is loving your neighbour. If you are in close contact with someone unwell or confirmed positive you must stay at home. If you are vulnerable, or in contact with vulnerable people, feel free to stay at home. Medical Distance We will sit in every second pew and we ask you to sit at a distance from others. (except those you live with) Bring a jumper as the building will be ventilated during the gathering. Good Hygiene Please do not shake hands or hug. Smiles and greetings are welcome. Please wash your hands regularly, especially before eating and before and after meeting people. Isolation If you are in isolation at this time, or if you are tested positive, please let Michael know (0403 035 846), or let Chris Robson know (0419 602 144). If you have any needs, please let us know. Love in Action If you are able to make a meal, do some shopping or make a phone call to someone isolated, please let Michael or Chris know. If you are able to use your phone to facetime a brother or sister during our church gathering, let us know. Future Changes At this stage no one really knows how this virus is going to progress in Tamworth. We will comply with all future directives and do everything we can to protect the vulnerable. But we will also be innovative and flexible in order to keep encouraging each other to trust God through the pandemic and the panic. When we adjust our arrangements we will let you know by the church’s facebook page and by email. Until then we will continue to operate with these precautions. I encourage all our brothers and sisters to remember that God is in control. That death has no victory. While coronavirus is a matter of life and death, Jesus is the Lord of Life. Let’s continue to trust him, follow him, and serve others in His strength.
