25.01.2022 Evening Everyone, Looking forward to a great weekend of racing with some new faces plus plenty of our regular racers. And as we have so many keen racers, if you can, please unload your race car and leave your trailer in the terminal car park. ... When you arrive, please: - have your scrutineering form filled out - have your crew and crew tickets with you - have your ANDRA licence and logbook with you (if held) - go over to the registration table - scan the COVIDSafe Sign-In QR code whilst you're waiting and complete your details in the app - at the registration table, show us your COVIDSafe Sign-In confirmation or fill-out the COVIDSafe register - hand in your paperwork in exchange for your wristband - your crew will sign the ANDRA Risk Statement, hand in their crew ticket and receive their wristband - you may be scrutineered during the morning - have fun! See you on the weekend!

25.01.2022 Today's rain has come and gone as expected and the forecast is looking much better for the weekend, fingers crossed. We will start setting the track up at 7.00 and entrant's sign in starts at 7.30am.

24.01.2022 T.S.C.C. will be holding its annual general meeting tomorrow night Wednesday the 9th of December at West Tamworth Bowling club starting at 6.00 pm. ... PLEASE NOTE. This is a very special meeting as there will be a representative from Jukestodd P/L from Qld to show us the plans and proposal for a new racetrack and Drag Strip at Oakburn park. This is your opportunity to come along and view what’s offering and have your say. The club would like to see as many members both past and present and future, and anyone with a Motorsport interest come along and see what’s offering. 22.01.2022 What a fantastic way to end Tamworth Drag Racing Association's racing year!! Our event over the weekend of 31 October/1 November 2020 was one of our biggest with 90 racers running the 1/8th mile on Saturday, getting in 5 rounds each to get settled in to the lights - what a day of #noprepracing #airportracing! On Sunday, the wind settled down, the sun was bright and heat and rubber was on the track and we were set for a great day. Three qualifying rounds were held before elimi...nations and the field was placed into four groups ready for the run to the finals. Congratulations to all our competitors, and the results are: Best Reaction Time: Ryan Brooks from Newcastle in his Birkin Clubman with a 0.011 light. Closest to Dial-In: Cassandra Kelly, first time drag racer! from Taree in her SS Commodore Ute with a 9.005 run on her 9.000 dial in. Motorbikes: Long time racers Brian Vernon from Cessnock and Mick Close on his Yamaha from Muswellbrook raced a great final with Brian taking the win on his Triumph with a slightly better start and a 7.756 on his 7.70 dial in. Group D: A 0.020 light by Ryan Brooks from Newcastle in his Clubman gave him the win over local Gunnedah girl Jordan Phillips in her Toyota Camry. Group C: was between two Tamworthians - Alissa Munn in her SS Commodore cut the better light, but ran a 8.529 on her 8.550 dial-in and the break-out handed the win to John Simon in his EH Wagon with a 8.134 on his 8.100 dial in Group B: A double red light showed the pressure on the start line and because Jamie Blades from Belmont North in his Calais brought up the first cherry, Ashleigh Phillips from Gunnedah in dad's LH Torana got the win. Group A: presented a great close final, with just 0.030 between Caleb Thomas in the '76 1 Tonner from Tamworth running 6.987 on his 6.950 dial in over the Capri of George Giovas from Coonabarabran, and Thomas taking the win. Thanks again to Gunnedah Shire Council and #andradragracing - without their support we could not hold our events, and also #amprinting and #powerplusnsw for your continued support of our club throughout the year. We will kick off the 2021 season in March - most likely the weekend of 6 & 7 March.

Registration in the morning will be from 7.30am. - everyone will need to do the COVIDSafe sign in again, either via the QR Code or in the book... - crew do not need to sign in again, unless you have new crew - drivers who raced today just need to do a simple signature on our sheet - new drivers will need to complete full registration process See you all in the morning!

14.01.2022 SPECTATORS Hi Everyone, we have been receiving quite a few questions about spectators for our event this weekend, and thank you all for your support and interest, we really do appreciate it. But we need to clarify that unfortunately we CANNOT have spectators for this event. The Govt requirements for having spectators makes it very hard for our small band of volunteers to ensure the COVIDSafe rules are upheld for spectators, and we can't afford to risk a fine Thanks for your understanding and fingers crossed we will be able to have you out there when we kick off in March next year

Please do not attend if you are unwell - let us know and we will refund your entry fee Do not attend if you have been to Victoria in past 14 days or if you have attended any of the reported case locations listed on the NSW Health website (NSW hot spots) https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates ANDRA encourages download of the COVIDSafe app Minimise mingling Maintain physical distancing (min. 1.5m) Stay with your own vehicle in the staging lanes Stay with your vehicle whilst lined up at the return end, waiting to come back If you become unwell during our event, please see the medical officer (Beneficial Safety) on site Regularly wash/sanitise your hands Feel free to utilise your own PPE We understand this isn't the 'normal' way we hold our events, but hey, we will get to go drag racing if we ALL do the right thing.

And the caterers #fransfreshfood will be on site with hot food and drinks However, if anyone does not want to risk it, we understand and a credit can go to our next event (31 Oct/1 Nov) or a refund provided. Just let us know.

05.01.2022 Hi Racers, Like you we have been watching the weather for the past few days - not what we would have ordered, but the hand we have been dealt. The best advice we have received is rain Friday arvo through to 2am - 4am Sat morning. Sunday possible showers. So yes, we're going to give racing a go! We understand the commitment you're making and will check again in morning and post again in case of any changes overnight.

02.01.2022 Thanks to all the competitors that made the weekend of drag racing a success - it was good to see old and new faces at Gunnedah And a special thanks to all the volunteers and the ANDRA Officials and that make our events possible, which includes the racers and crew who help us set-up, pack-up and give their time between racing. And also to the TDRA committee and club members who put in a huge effort to try and make it an event that you all enjoy attending. We look forward to seeing you all again in March 2021 and we'll have the results from the weekend up in next few days.
