19.01.2022 Exploring the Australian outdoors with Cub Scouts! Cub Scouts is the second Section of Scouts, for boys and girls aged 8 - 11. It focuses on exploring the outdoors and living an active lifestyle in a safe and friendly environment. Cub Scouts have a lot of fun doing a lot of interesting things! They are introduced to traditional Scouting skills such as tying knots and using a map and compass, and take part in outdoor adventures such as camping, rock climbing, abseiling, bushwa...lking, sailing, gliding and flying, canoeing, and billy-karting! Cub Scout also learn valuable life skills such as leadership and taking responsibility for themselves. They are taught the value of citizenship and how to give back to their communities. Each Cub Scout collects special badges to demonstrate their skills and achievements, and has the opportunity to achieve their Grey Wolf Award before moving onto the Scout section.

17.01.2022 Extreme adventures, real achievements! Venturer Scouts is a do-it-yourself mix of fun, adventure and personal challenge that brings together like-minded young people aged 14 to 17 from all walks of life. As a Venturer, you may find yourself exploring wilderness Australia, camping above the snowline or diving on coral reefs. You could be abseiling into a limestone cave or climbing a sheer rock face. Perhaps you’ll learn white water kayaking or ride your mountain bike on an exp...edition across real mountains. Whatever your challenge, there will be trained and highly experienced adults to guide you through the experience, to teach you the necessary skills and safety techniques. Venturers get the opportunity to travel overseas and to organised activities, to live with a different community to provide service to others. A young person must have had their 14th birthday to prior to commencing in the Venturer Scout Section. Youth are able to commence their progression to the Rover Scout Section any time within six months prior to their 18th birthday. Progression to the Rover Scout Section cannot take place until the Venturer Scout turns 18. If this sounds like you, contact us today.

07.01.2022 Hone your outdoor survival skills and gain valuable life experience at Scouts! Scouts is the third section of Scouting, for boys and girls aged 11-14 years. It gives young people the opportunity to take part in a range of activities that teach important life skills - while having fun and keeping active! Scouts focuses on allowing young people to develop their confidence and teaches them how to work as part of a team. Scouts learn essential outdoor safety skills as well as par...ticipate in a variety of physical and intellectual challenges. The programs are designed to target each young person's own special interests, encouraging them to enjoy their favourite hobbies using meaningful badges and awards. Epic bushwalks and camping expeditions, getting out on the water in a kayak, canoe or sailboat or even going up in a plane on a visit to the Air Activity Centre are just some of the adventures Scouts get up to! Our Scouts meet on Monday night at 6:30. Come along and take a visit.
