21.01.2022 Tamworth Short Film Festival Click here to reserve your FREE Ticket NOW! https://bit.ly/2kiMj3o Tamworth’s silver screen to come alive with local talent... Tamworth’s premier film festival is back in 2019 for one night only, showcasing the best and brightest of the region’s film makers. The re-launch of The Tamworth Short Film Festival offers budding country creatives, writers, producers, directors, actors and camera men and women to capture, collaborate and create the stories they want to tell. Entry is free but tickets are limited and must be booked via the link below. To get tickets, visit www.tamworthshortfilmfestival.com.au The community’s reaction to the inaugural festival was fantastic to see. The cinema was packed with supporters who came out to enjoy the night of free entertainment, mingle and meet new people and watch some really well made, creative and thought-provoking short films, Festival organiser Luke McDonagh says. It’s a chance for people to show off their craft and network with a like-minded community. There are so many stories to tell out here, and we have the talent to tell them. It’s not every day you get to see your work up on the big screen where you are normally watching massive, block buster movies. I really hope this inspires New England and North West’s budding filmmakers and cinema enthusiasts to give it a crack. You never know if the next Steven Spielberg or Martin Scorsese is walking down Peel Street with an amazing vision - they just need a chance to showcase it. Previous entrant Alex James La-Chiusa said a highlight was witnessing the audience’s reaction to his short film. The Tamworth Short Film Festival was my first foray in the competitive world of film festivals, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Professional yet retained the small-town charm, I’d highly recommend it to anyone wishing to see their work on the silver screen. 20.01.2022 Hi All, I hope everyone has had a great Christmas and is gearing up for an awesome New Year. I just wanted to let everyone know that the date for the 2019 TSFF has been pushed back to October the 6th. ... This is due to a couple of reasons. - First is that we want to make it bigger and better than the first one. We want to be able to offer amazing prizes to people who put in the time and effort to make their films and enter. This is a time consuming process as this festival is a labour of love - but we want to be able to offer something for all your hard work! - Secondly, some of the amazing film makers who made the first year such a hit have been working on some really cool films that wont be ready in time. We really want to showcase these local films - as these are what TSFF is all about! For people that have already entered - rest assured, you're still in the running. Nothing has changed there! I'm super sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused people. Thanks to everyone for their support! It's amazing hearing feedback from people and that people are really keen and invested in this event. It's a tricky old challenge trying to do this independently - but 2019 will be an awesome year. Keep making films. Keep Creating. See you legends in the New Year! Cheers, Luke
