24.01.2022 It was a Gillies Medal night like no other, but another big one for the #mightyredandwhite. Massive congratulations to Billie Mitchell, named AFL North West NSW women's Best and Fairest for 2020, along with the 2020 Women's Rising Star and SportsTG Coach's Award. Anishah Burnes completed a Swans sweep of the women's gongs taking the League's Leading Goal Kicker with an impressive 33 goals. Josh Jones polled third in the Tony Gillies Medal, with Kaleb Crowhurst close in fourth.... Kaleb's 52 goals saw him also place second in the Gerry Griffiths Medal. For the Roosters, Jack Dadd's 29 goals saw him take out the Leading Goal Kicker for the Under 17s, to go with the SportsTG Coach's Award and a third place in the Best and Fairest. Harry Hagon was a runaway winner in the Under 14s Best and Fairest. Tom Aitken kicked 25 goals to lead the Under 14s Goal Kicking. Congratulations to all award winners, and particularly to Josh Chiavaroli from the Gunnedah Bulldogs on being named the 2020 Gillies Medalist. See more

22.01.2022 With thanks to the team at the Post Office Hotel Tamworth, we can confirm that a shuttle bus will run from Britten Road to the pub on Saturday night from about 10.30pm, to allow the keener types to kick on safely.
21.01.2022 The Swans made the trek out to the warm western plains yesterday to take on the Moree Suns. The women came up against an improving Suns team, ultimately proving too strong 12.14-86 to 0.2-2. Danny Designer Jeweller best was Sarah Pannowitz. Stor-Mate Player's Player went to Stephanie Koukides. Elisha Essery won the Captain's Award, and Billie Mitchell picked up the Green Ant.... The men were fast out of the gates, with a strong final quarter putting them another step closer to a Grand Final. Final score 28.20-188 to 3.7-25. Burke & Smyth Real Estate best went to Edward George. Player's Player was won by Michael Parker. In Gunnedah, the Tamworth Roosters U14s took the first slot in the Grand Final with a 7.6-48 to 6.6-42 win over the Bulldogs. Over at the Dome, the A-grade Swans Red are tied in second place and will need a win next week to secure a Grand Final start after a 50-36 loss. In B-grade, Swans White won 43-32, while Swans Grey lost 71-25. See more
21.01.2022 CONDUCT ON GAME DAY The AFL North West NSW have this year looked to set a standard of RESPECT across our League, and we as a Club support this without reservation in a desire to maintain a positive sporting environment. Recent times there has been concerns raised generally within our League about conduct on game days, and particularly in relation to umpires. Be aware that the League is not accepting of umpire abuse, and free kicks, 50 metre penalties or other sanctions may b...e applied where umpires are subjected to abuse, including from off field officials and spectators. Beyond this, please be mindful that as an official or as a spectator your conduct is representative of the Swans as a Club. Whilst we all enjoy vocal support at the footy, there is a line where this becomes disrespectful and abusive that we want to stay on the positive side of. We simply ask that you show the respect to our League officials and members or supporters of other Clubs that we would expect to have extended to us. #setthestandard #respectfulredandwhite See more

All it takes is an hour of your time from either 10am, 11am or midday this Sunday, 22 November, to sample seven cuts of meat and give some feedback in a survey. 10.01.2022 The Swans men took another big step towards a Grand Final today, a massive first quarter effort setting up a big 24.22-166 to 7.6-48 victory over the Inverell Saints. Burke & Smyth Real Estate best was Ed George. Player's Player went to Ryan Baker. The women's feature game didn't disappoint, a late charge by the Swans sealing a 6.4-40 to 5.5-35 win over the Inverell Saints and sealing a spot in the Grand Final. Danny Designer Jeweller best and Stor-Mate Player's Player both w...ent to Lauren Lamrock. The Captain's Award went to Holly Littlejohns. Madison Sharp took a well deserved Green Ant. In earlier matches, the Tamworth Roosters beat the Saints in the Under 14s 12.8-80 to 4.5-29, and the Under 17s saw a very good game in what might be a Grand Final preview, the Saints too strong for the Roosters in the end 17.13-115 to 15.9-99. 09.01.2022 #Highlights AFL North West - NSW Women's Grand Final Gunnedah & District Australian Football Club v Tamworth Swans AFC
08.01.2022 What a massive day yesterday for the Swans! Apologies for a late update for anyone that wasn't tuned in to live streams. We are not sure on official final scores, but the women's team were brave throughout and particularly in a fourth quarter rally to go down by 10 points. The men's were in it up to their neck at three-quarter time before Gunnedah kicked away to win in the neighborhood of 50 points. Congratulations to the junior Roosters, with years of patience rewarded wit...h an Under 14s and Under 17s Premiership double. At the Dome, the A-grade Swans put in a determined performance, going down 50-22 in a super effort in their debut season. Thanks to all involved with the Swans in 2020, in what has been a wonderful year in challenging circumstances. Special thanks to volunteers who have supported our footballers and netballers. We couldn't be prouder of the efforts from all our players yesterday who couldn't have done any more to represent #themightyredandwhite. Thanks also to our wonderful sponsors Burke & Smyth Real Estate, Stor-Mate, Danny Designer Jeweller, Shoppingworld Newsagency Tamworth, Thrift Plumbing, Post Office Hotel Tamworth, Wests Entertainment Group and Kensell Holden for their support through the year. 06.01.2022 AGM and PLANNING DAY THIS SUNDAY Our 2020 Annual General Meeting and planning session will be held this Sunday from 1.30pm in the KEN CHILLINGWORTH ROOM at WESTS on PHILLIP STREET (not Diggers). All members are encouraged to attend and have input into the ... running and direction of your club. Coming along doesn't mean you'll be railroaded into a job - we work on volunteers, not conscripts. If you can't attend but have an opinion or something to offer for the planning session please drop us a line through Messenger or email at [email protected]. If there is something you want to see or think we can improve on be sure to let us know. We'd especially love feedback from the netballers on their experience in 2020 and improving this into the future. Topics for discussion can be anything that affects and improves the club, and may include: - Social function ideas - Merchandise options and requests - Governance and Club structure to service ongoing growth in women's and junior football and netball - Sponsorship and fundraising - Potential refurbishment of Number One Oval pavilion - Training options/needs during preseason and into winter - Recruitment - Positive club culture We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
