13.01.2022 Celebrate Christmas at the Con This evening is quickly becoming a favourite on the Conservatorium calendar. These celebrations have something for everyone, beginning with a fun and relaxed gathering on the front lawn featuring performances from our ensembles, carol singing, fun reindeer games, and a free BBQ and drinks. Later on in the evening, we move next door to St. Nicholas' Catholic Church where the Conservatorium Christmas Choir will perform A Capella Christmas Cantata,... by Canadian composer Larry Nickel. Premiered in 2015 by the Brandon Mullet Faith Builders Chorale (Pennsylvania, USA), the Cantata’s fifteen movements give a unique and compelling rendition of the Christmas story, from ancient prophecy to the immaculate conception and until the Holy Child was two years old. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend both parts of the celebrations. Registration is required and can be completed by visiting Eventbrite. 01.01.2022 TAKE OUR SURVEY AND HELP GET US PLAYING, SIGNING AND LEARNING MUSIC AGAIN How have COVID music restrictions affected you? Here's a tangible way to make sure your voice is heard. As a member of RIVMEO, the Association of NSW Regional Conservatoriums through the Tamworth Regional of Conservatorium of Music is collecting data for our ongoing dialogue with government and education authorities.... Take the survey and add your voice! We need to hear for the widest range of ensemble musicians possible, whether instrumentalists, vocalists, music educators or students. This is the first survey to gather data from players and conductors alike, professional and community musicians, students of all ages, across all regions. We need to hear from conductors, directors, and tutors, whether self-employed or in a full-time position. We need to hear from choir, band and orchestra members. Large ensembles and small. How has this period affected you? Your data will not be used in a way that can identify individuals. We are looking for trends and the bigger our dataset the better. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RIVMEO
