25.01.2022 The Women’s first grade Grand Final was action packed and delivered an exciting game for spectators. All the crowd on the verandah and our new grassed spectator terrace (socially distanced of course) were on the edge of their seats and cheering loudly. Defending premiers Waratahs were up against Minor Premiers Flames and both teams turned up on the day and gave their all.... This game has certainly received lots of coverage already in the paper and the TV news and I just have to say what a fantastic thing for our women’s competition, Tamworth hockey and our fabulous sport in general. This game delivered end to end excitement on centre stage in our fabulous new facilities with Waratahs defending last years premiership coming away with the win 5-4 Congratulations to both teams on another excellent season. 19.01.2022 The women’s second grade Grand Final between Flames and Olympians Gold did not disappoint once again proving a fantastic, edge of your seat game for supporters. The scores, drawn 1 all at full time saw 10 minutes extra each way of extra time in a drop off to 9. Flames scored the early goal in extra time but with just seconds left on the clock Olympians Gold were awarded a short corner which saw Bridget Tydd slot a cracking goal to draw level at 2 all sending the game to Pena...lty shoot out for the second year in a row. Scores were 3all after the first round of shoot outs sending the game to sudden death penalty shoot out with Flames Julie Rodda slotting the goal for victory. The 2021 competiti...on will be held at Tamworth from Friday 30th April til Sunday 2nd May. So get preparing your team now! Eligible players for Over 40s (born in 1981 or earlier) Eligible players for Over 45s (born in 1976 or earlier). Tag someone who now qualifies for this age group! If you would like to participate but unsure if your association will enter a team, send a direct message and the mens masters committee can help you and put you in contact with the right person!

01.01.2022 The 2020 Tamworth Junior Boys Grand Finals were held on Saturday. Congratulations to all the players who participated in not only the Grand Finals but all of the playoff games as well. The standard was set in the opening Grand Final where Minor Premiers, Kiwis, played Souths in an exceptionally high-quality game. At fulltime the game was tied at 2-2 and went into two lots of player drop-off extra time until Kiwis slotted in a late goal with only minutes remaining. Congratulat...ions to Kiwis on being 2020 Major Premiers. In Under 11's, the two Tudor teams; Tudor Maroon and Tudor Gold, have been battling it out all year and the Grand Final was no exception. In what was an exciting game, Minor Premiers Tudor Maroon proved to be too strong and won the Major Premiership 4-0. The Under 13's Grand Final between Minor Premiers Kiwis and Workies was a close game in the beginning with Workies having the better of the early part of the first quarter before Kiwis slotted three goals in quick succession. Kiwis were undefeated throughout the season and proved to be too strong for Workies winning 8-1. Congratulations to all the 2020 premiers in what has been a shortened season. A big thank you to our Umpires, Control people, Committee and volunteers who have allowed us to play this year and we hope to see you all again next year.
