10.01.2022 Katherine & Tracey from our Tamworth office recently spent a weekend in Wollongong brainstorming with other Committee members and staff across NSW who look afte...r our community event - Relay for Life. They got loads of ideas, so we can bring the very best Relay to our communities. Relay means different things to different people. For some 1) it’s a time to get together with your friends, to support a good cause & make a difference 2) it might be time out with your dad.....a young bar attendant at the hotel they stayed out, said she had been going to Relay for 15 years with her dad.. that’s her experience 3) others it’s a time to celebrate being cancer free 4) or a time to reflect on lost loved ones 5) or an opportunity to be challenged fitness wise The list could go on & on...... This act is a united display of support for Cancer Council and cancer patients during these unprecedented times. Hope at Home aims to raise funds to ensure we can continue our critical work and more importantly to raise awareness about cancer patients. Patients that don’t get to stay home in self-isolation, who continue to endure treatment, and have a hi...gher risk of contracting COVID-19.
