24.01.2022 Erika, Our Rotary Youth Exchange Student from Finland, spoke yesterday about her experiences of spending a year in Australia. She finished her speech with this video from her parents Marco & Tina. Thankyou Marco & Tina, Erika has been a wonderful Ambassador for your family, your Rotary Club & Finland.
24.01.2022 Last week we farewelled our wonderful youth exchange student Gaia as she returned to Italy . She has been a fantastic student, taking all the dramas of the last 5 months in her stride and still keeping her trademark smile and positive attitude. Gaia has been a wonderful addition to the club over the past 12 months and we can’t wait to see what she does next. Good luck Gaia and we miss you already . #Rotary9650 #YouthExchangeProgram
24.01.2022 Our members are cooking up a storm this morning at the Legacy Car Boot sale at the Tamworth City Bowling Club! It’s great to be able to support this fantastic organization in a year where fundraising for so many charities has become so difficult. Come along, see what’s for sale and grab a bacon and egg roll, sausage or steak sandwich! #rotary #legacy #communityservice
23.01.2022 A special presentation was made at our Friday meeting last week, with our Cluster Assistant Governor Simon Guest presenting a cheque for $17,000 to our club to assist with the completion of the Rotary Lodge upgrade. Rotary Lodge at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital provides emergency accommodation to people from around the district. The renovation of a number of units was completed in 2018 and these funds will help upgrade the remaining units. Thank you to the clubs across o...ur cluster for your support of this important project! AG Simon Guest and project coordinator Dave Stevenson
20.01.2022 Another big couple of weeks for our club with more fantastic guest speakers. Last week Chris Watson spoke about the downturn the travel and tourism industry has suffered as a result of COVID-19, and his decision to launch Rediscover Australia and promote domestic travel. Then this morning we heard from our Rotary District 9650 RYLA participant Amy. Two weeks ago Amy took part in the program which this year took place at Lake Keepit. It was great to see the growth Amy has experienced from the camp, and to camp mum Louise for joining us along with other members from Tamworth First Light.

19.01.2022 Last night we celebrated our 10th birthday ! In October 2009 the Rotary Club of Tamworth Sunrise was chartered with 34 members. Fast forward to December 2019 and we are a thriving club with 58 members. Pictured below are nine of our past presidents, what a stellar crew! Thank you to all who celebrated with us last night.
18.01.2022 On Saturday February 29 our club lost a great mate in Steve Gribbin, or "Gribbo" as he was to so many of us. Gribbo was our Charter President, a mentor to young members and a sounding board for all. His passion, enthusiasm and commitment to Service Clubs, both Apex and now Rotary, was contagious and his community spirit was inspiring. To say he will be greatly missed is an understatement. Faye and Steve's family warmly invite you to celebrate Gribbo's life at 11am on March 21, 200 at West Diggers, Kable Ave Tamworth.
18.01.2022 2020 CHANGEOVER On Friday morning our 2019-20 President Paul Hagley handed over the reigns to Adam Green, who will be leading the club for the next 12 months.
