21.01.2022 Wow what a full on weekend .. although we still have the struggle with the cottage .. my reward this weekend was that after hundreds of war letters I have been able to link the lines and bring families together with their history . We found living relatives , cousins & more .. it was so heartwarming yet sad at the same time . So much family distance due to the War/s , marriages , children & more Below is The Cottages Owner .. Angie

21.01.2022 Still no news , is the person that bought it on this page ?

17.01.2022 Important words from Fred @tributes-Queenslander Homes Kids of Today: You are the "Only Ones" that can carry the messages of our History, Heritage Culture, Family Traditions and Memories into the future. Sit down and talk to "Your Parents. Grandparents, Great Grandparents, Great Great Grandparents and Families" about their History, Heritage Culture, Family Traditions and Memories from the past to now . You are the ones that are able to Protect and Preserve when we are no longer here. And I for one will always be proud of your talents to do this..

16.01.2022 Update: So after days of phone calls and emails we were able to get in touch with a family member in England who unfortunately is not aware of the history of the cottage but now is. We have also been advised that information on the property is historical and dates back to around 1875 which we will be getting more details on tomorrow . I would love to know if anyone on this page is actually interested in buying it and restoring it as we have heard that there is some interest and I really hope its legitimate. At this moment I really feel like a modern age Erin Brockovich :) But if I don't do it who will. Thankyou to everyone who has supported the petition and who are continuing to help us piece together what we believe is Lost History of Logan / Tanah Merah

15.01.2022 Some great feedback is coming through from the petition . We are hoping to find out more information tomorrow . I’m trying everything I can to get onto layers in the UK who may be able to get my message to whom it needs but sadly no replies as yet :(

13.01.2022 The Cottage has been sold .. to who I don’t know .. who knows what will happen now

12.01.2022 Bruce Laker has been our supporting our cause to save the cottage let’s hope in the next week or so we get some answers .. we are running out of time :(

09.01.2022 We have just hit 250 signatures let’s keep it going

09.01.2022 Anyone got any info ? We still haven’t heard anything nor can we find anything .. has anyone seen anything happening up there x

09.01.2022 Some historical information from Angies Niece Below .. Their family history is so interesting and they played numerous roles in both Australian & Uk History The house was moved in 4 pieces from Daisy Hill in the 1900s and I am aiming to have it heritage listed. My grandfather was George Coleman and was a pilot serving in WW1, and a distinguished member of "The Early Birds" and awarded the Air Force Cross for his achievements. My grandmother, Sybil was from Ireland and my Irish family name is Curtin, and is related to Australian Prime Minister John Curtin. Tanah Merah was filled with antiques, historical photographs, artefacts and original paintings by George Coleman.

08.01.2022 Fingers crossed for some good news hopefully

05.01.2022 I am so great full to have been able to do a another blood relative for this family . He too supports our stance to save the cottage . I am so glad I have been able to talk with him and share with him his families past xx

04.01.2022 So a little followup for everyone : We have recently received information that can clarify that the home was there and more then likely was lived in by The McBrides who subdivided the farm into Tanah Merah . We have located information from a locals family who were one of the first to buy land from the Mcbrides and can confirm the cottage was there then. We have also sent a lengthy detailed email through to the one / family who may be able to stop this and I am hoping they will reach out to me.We have sent details to 2 MP's who have taken the matter further and we have now lodged with the Heritage Office in QLD. If anyone has any further information or the family from UK have seen this please get in touch !!! Keep Sharing everyone we are running out of time

01.01.2022 Love these pictures taken at the cottage
