23.01.2022 Repost @rissjayne So I am now 15 weeks into my second Build Phase since being with my coach @emily_kingbodies ... Im also: - Doing no cardio, only my normal 4-5x weight sessions a week. - On an extra 1100calories. - Up about 5-6kg from my leanest stage. I remember saying to Em that I didnt want to put weight back on, I didnt want to look fat. And her countlessly telling me that if I follow the program, be consistent and stay accountable - I WILL NOT BE FAT. Low and behold, like I said before, Im 5-6kg heavier and Im still a size 8/10, all the clothes I bought when I was lean still fit and my abs are still visible. Ive not been restricting myself from the foods I wish to eat, as life is life and if I want that certain food - Im going to have it! But its all in moderation and tracking my foods is now a huge part of my daily lifestyle. Ive also been working really hard on hitting my macros every day not just my calories and just the sheer improvement in my muscle growth and body shape - I am super excited to see what Ill look like in my 3rd cut towards the end of the year! So, repeating positive mantras, visualising what we want, believing in the process and actually telling ourselves positive things over and over again, can and will result in it becoming our new truth. #manifestthatsh*t Basically, our brains store A LOT of information and we obviously dont need all of it, so the brain filters out what we need in the present moment and a part of the brain, the Reticular Activating System or RAS, is what brings back needed info when we do want it. The RAS is basically the part of the brain that makes you see yellow cars everywhere after you talk to someone about yellow cars, or maybe youve decided youre attracted to blondes with green eyes and all of a sudden, these features are everywhere! It brings forth useful information based on what our brain perceives it needs. If we think about or talk about a topic often, the brain will want to access the information relating to this. See where Im going here. If we want to be a badass s.e.x goddess, or feel good in our skin, and we consciously say positive things like I am worthy of love and pleasure guess what, our brain sees this as more of a truth and will seek out the circumstances that prove this. Then you start believing it too. Generally speaking, the higher the percentage of DHA, the quicker (and darker) the spray tan will develop, lets likens it to medication. "Some people need 10 milligrams; some people need 15 milligrams; some people need 20 milligrams, right?... When you go to a doctor and they prescribe you something, sometimes they have to change your dose based on how you respond. Every body, every human being has a completely different makeup and chemistry." In regards to DHA, this means that the percentage can be customised by the spray tan artist to accommodate your unique skin and desired result. The best way to find out what percentage of DHA works for you is to talk with your spray tan artist ahead of the actual application. Just like you do with a hairstylist ahead of a new cut or colour, you should converse with your spray tan artist to ensure youre both on the same page when it comes to your desired level of tan.
