17.01.2022 It was so wonderful to go out and about yesterday, visiting a few bookstores to sign copies of Letters from Berlin! It was a lovely afternoon - the weather was gorgeous and it was great to chat to the fabulous staff and learn about how they’ve been managing during COVID and about all their preparation for Christmas titles!! So if you’re after a signed copy of Letters from Berlin, as a Christmas gift or perhaps for yourself, please head into Kinokuniya in the Galleries, George St Sydney, Dymocks, George St Sydney and Berkelouw Books, Paddington. I’ll be visiting other bookshops across Sydney in the coming weeks, so I’ll let you know where you can find more signed copies as I go.
11.01.2022 I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be taking part in the inaugural Northern Beaches Readers’ Festival this September at Avalon, Sydney - a gorgeous part of the world! The programme will be released at a later date but set aside some time over the three days 25th - 27th Sept to enjoy all things book related! I’m sure it will be a great event!
09.01.2022 Look what I found in The Weekend Australian this weekend!! Go The Girl from Munich!! Still going strong!
06.01.2022 It’s been wonderful to watch the garden flourish with the spring weather. Suddenly a somewhat neglected garden has sprung to life and looks lush and happy. All this rain has helped I know- nothing compares to rain and warm weather, not even hand watering and TLC. We’ve had a great rhubarb plant for a couple of years and it’s provided plenty of rhubarb stalks since then. Now it’s so big and it’s the perfect time to harvest before the summer heat hits it. Our family always love...s a bit of apple and rhubarb and now that I’ve had some time to take a breath before beginning the first edit on my next book, I decided to cook up a batch. It tastes so much better using homegrown rhubarb! As a special treat I tried a wonderful Maggie Beer recipe with oats, almonds and maple syrup as a crunchy crumble topping which was absolutely divine! It’s gluten free and vegan friendly so everyone can enjoy it and it’s a great standby to have on hand. It was a perfect combination and it didn’t last long! My family are keen to make more and while the rhubarb is in good supply I think it’s a great idea! See more
