25.01.2022 Monthly meeting will be held on Monday 15 July at 1pm Remember we are holding Christmas in July on Monday 22nd 11.30 for 12pm. $25.00 for members $30.00 for non-members. Bob Bush the bush poet will be there about 1.30 for a presentation and our ukulele players will entertain us with Christmas Carols between mains and desert. Bring a friend or come on your own to have some fun and a delicious meal... For catering we need numbers so either put your name down on the sheet in the hall or ring one of the committee members by Thurs 18th July at the latest Planning has also started for the Spring Flower Show/Fair which is scheduled for 31 Aug. Start planning and growing your plants. We will have 5 categories, potted plants, hanging baskets, floral arrangement, novelty arrangement and single stem. It will be $1.00 to enter, first prizes only for each section and an overall grand prize



21.01.2022 Movies are on Thurs at 1 pm on 20 June Bazaar is on Sat 22 June from 8am-1pm, still looking for helpers, we will be setting up after line dancing on Thurs until movies start then continuing on Fri, also need helpers on Sat. Hope to see you and your friends

20.01.2022 Just a reminder our Christmas lunch is on Thursday 5th Dec. 12.00 for 12.30. $25.00 for members, $30.00 for non members. Still time to put your name down, contact myself, Coral or put your name on the list at the hall. Entertainment by Tuni Loons before lunch and the line dancers after. Hamper raffle, 1st, 2nd, & 3rd to be drawn on the day $1.00 a ticket Cook books will also be on sale $10.00... The line dancers will still have their class on Thurs morning so if you would like to go earlier and watch them and have some morning tea before lunch you are more than welcome For those of you that can’t make it to lunch have a happy and safe Christmas and New Year and we will see you all in February 2020 Faye

18.01.2022 The Seniors Flower Show / Spring fare was held on Sat and was a great success even though the weather wasn’t too kind to us. We had quite a few floral contributions and a steady flow of people coming in. This could have been to not only look at the displays, have some morning tea or purchase some items, but because they could hear the music as once again our Tuni Loons entertained us. They are very good and always a pleasure to listen to. Thank you to everyone who helped t...o make the day a success Category winners were: Potted plant - Rhonda Hamilton Hanging basket - Maureen Olive Floral arrangement - Maureen Olive Single stem - Patti McClenaghan Novelty arrangement - Equal first - Susan Miller, Sue Royal Grand Champion - Coral McCaull Raffles - Dorothy A and Jane Valley won 2 Congratulations to all the winners

Still looking for recipes for the recipe book, if you have an old favourite or even a new recipe you like bring it along to the meeting on Mon or email to me, plan to have it ready for sale by Nov meeting. 16.01.2022 The Senior Citizens had our open day on 1st May with mixed results. Thank you to everyone who participated, especially Gaye Smith and her sub committee and Margaret Brewer who donated the first prize for the raffle. Although attendance was a bit disappointing we have 3 new activities commencing which was the aim of the day, Monday at 2pm ukulele has commenced, more people welcome, you do need your own instrument Thurs 16 at 1pm Macrame will commence, bring string or twine, b...eads and scissors Wed 22 at 2pm will be jewellery making, requirements to be advised Mother’s Day raffle was also drawn, congratulations to the prize winners. 16.01.2022 It has been a few weeks since I have posted anything so I thought I would do an update with what’s happening at the Seniors Hall for the over 50s Calendar 10 Jun Management meeting will be cancelled as it is a public holiday 12 Jun. 10 am monthly management meeting, will be final planning meeting for Bazaar so anyone wanting to help on the day plse come to this meeting... 17 Jun. 1 pm. Monthly meeting. A member of the RFS will give us a talk on winter fire safety 20 Jun. 1 pm. Movie 22 Jun. 8am - 1 pm. Bazaar 28 Jun. Bus trip. Details to be confirmed at next meeting 15 Jul. Monthly meeting 22 Jul. Christmas in July. Details to follow 19 Aug. Monthly meeting 31 Aug. Flower Show/Fete Weekly/Fortnightly Activities Mon. 2 pm. Beginner Ukulele Tue. 1 pm. Spinning, Crocheting, Knitting & chatting Thurs. 9 am. Line dancing Thurs. 1.30 pm. Every second Thurs macrame Thurs. 1 pm. 3rd Thurs of month Movies Sat Indoor bowls. Please contact the Secretary Faye Cowie on 0428731107 for more information. Membership of Tanilba Bay Senior Citizens is open to anyone over the age of 50 and is $10 per year. To attend regular activities, you are required to join the Seniors, after a short trial, and we charge $2 per activity that goes towards running costs of the hall.

11.01.2022 A movie afternoon has been scheduled for Thurs 28 March at 1.30. Afternoon tea is included for $2.00. Come along and watch a good movie. These movie days will continue on the last thurs of the month. Planning for the open day on 1 May is going along well, bring a friend and have a great morning

08.01.2022 Happy Easter, stay safe if you are travelling. Our open day is coming up really fast on 1st May, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, come along, say hello, participate in some activities and generally have a great time.

06.01.2022 Christmas in July was held on Mon 22nd July. If you couldn’t make it you missed a great day. The meal was once again lovely, thanks to the wonderful caterers who spoil us tremendously. Between courses the TUNI Loons (ukulele group) entertained us with mostly Christmas carols, they were excellent,thank you very much. After the meal,the bush poet Bob Bush entertained us and he also was very good. Thank you to everyone who worked hard to make it a great day. 04.01.2022 Tanilba Bay Senior Citizens held their bazaar today, a big big thank you to all the people who helped to make it a success. Without your help we wouldn’t be able to hold theses events. Raffle draw 1st Prize. Brian McClenaghan 2nd Prize. Carol Brindley 3rd Prize Adrienne Chatfield... 4th Prize. Diane Wilson Next activity is Christmas in July on 22 July. Costs haven’t been determined yet but will be out soon. Put your name down on the sheet in the hall or contact one of the committee members. We have invited the bush poet to give us a talk after lunch. Timings are 11.30 for 1200
