19.01.2022 While I commend what the Labor Party are saying about climate change, I only wish their actions would follow suit. Everyone is rightly talking about the catastr...ophic impact of opening up the Adani coal mine in the Galilee Basin. What many people don't realise is that Labor's plan to unlock gasfields in northern Australia would generate far more emissions than the Adani mine would. Labor can talk all they want about climate change, but unless they commit to ruling out all new coal and gas projects, their words will continue to ring hollow. Perhaps if they stopped accepting donations from fossil fuel corporations, they would find the nerve to take genuine climate action.
