23.01.2022 What a cracker day on the bike!!! 120 km of mountain twisties, to Grafton then 165km on the old post road to Glen Innes (120km of dirt, including a tunnel) through some stunning mountain country. Check out the house, a family grew up in that!! Makes you rethink the McMansion for a couple. The Python was stretched across the road and by the time I got to take a photo with the phone it was headed back into the bush. It had a massive lump in the middle so must have just had dinner. The photo doesn't do it justice, it was HUGE!!!

18.01.2022 Used the Motorcycle Atlas to extend the ride by 600km to Brisbane and take in another load of mind boggling roads! Discovered another load above Brisbane for a couple of weeks time! Also went to Ellaspede Custom Bikes today. Great bunch of guys, looked around the workshop had a coffee and chat. I've bought gear from them for my build. Check out their website, parts and Bikes!!

18.01.2022 Tassie Trip over, love the area around St Helens our future home! Back in Brisbane to ride the DR home, head stem bearing check and new rear tyre then it's time to head to Cameron Corner and the Strezlecki Track!

14.01.2022 Had a awesome 4 days at the Horizons Unlimited meeting this weekend, definitely worth the 2660 km ride up from Adelaide. Inspiring stories and sessions run by adventure motorcyclists from all around the world. Then rode back part of the way to Brisbane with these two amazing young women, Chantal- the chick on the chook chaser (get her book She'll Be Right!) and Cathrin from Germany. Both have done epic solo Motorcycle adventures!!

13.01.2022 Kath and my last few days in Vancouver after Mark and I took the bike to the warehouse for shipping home from Seattle. Reality is coming!!!

11.01.2022 Just like to say a big thank you to everyone that supported the ride and especially The Black Dog Ride. Raised $7189 of which every penny goes to helping those that suffer from depression and thoughts of suicide, and helping to raise awareness of depression and suicide prevention. Cheers and look after your mates!

08.01.2022 Left the DR at my nephews and flew back to Adelaide, loaded the Mazda, drove to the ferry for Tasmania. Kath and I are now enjoying sunny days in and around St Helens checking out our new house and the local beaches at the Bay of Fires. Try a few MTB trails in Derby soon!!

05.01.2022 Kettle Valley Rail Trail - we saw the sign then Kath saw the rattler after I nearly rode over it - it then curled up for a photo shoot! Kath took the photo while I sat ready to ride ....... I mean protect her!!

04.01.2022 The DR has been dusted off, serviced and is back on the road for another adventure!! Solo this time, Paul is busy in his Gallery at Pt Elliot. On the way to Brisbane for a Horizons Unlimited 4 day overlanders rally then home via the Birdsville Track, if the roads are open?? 2000km in and the body is feeling it, good to be camping in the Cathedral National Park.
