15.01.2022 COVID-Safe Money Collection To end the year, we have arranged a couple of events that require money collection and have set up COVID-Safe systems to do so. Thank you for sending money in a small plastic or paper bag. This is placed into a bag in the classroom and sent to a central collection area where it remains unopened for the COVID three day quarantine period as recommended. Due dates have been set with this in mind. Participation in these events is not compulsory, but thanks for joining in if that is possible.

07.01.2022 This week Year 6 are participating in camp week activities. Over the last 2 days they have engaged in cultural activities - learning about the Chinese game Jianzi (hacky sack), PE, swimming, Drama, STEM Challenges and The Amazing Race. STEM required the students to build a tower out of newspaper that would be strong enough to hold a basketball for 20 seconds and to also design some stylish shoes out of newspaper. We saw some very stylish creations. The Amazing Race required problem solving and teamwork. Posing for a ‘creative’ photo on the rock wall, puzzle solving, moving a cookie from their forehead to their mouth without touching it, origami & cup stacking were just a few of the challenges.
