19.01.2022 We were SO excited to see this! When we were taking our volunteers over to the centre this morning, we found this love duo in a very romantic setting: right in ...the middle of the Gladstone Harbour It’s turtle mating season, which means you can find sea turtles floating on the surface like this all across our region. Boaties, please be mindful and slow down so these magnificent creatures don’t end up with boat strikes. If you do accidentally hit a turtle with your boat, please stop and stick around for at least 30 minutes or until the turtle resurfaces. When turtles get hit, they dive down and can hold their breath for a while. It’s important to get the animal to our centre immediately for medical treatment and to give them a chance on survival. Please ring us if you hit a turtle with your boat, and we’ll help organise the logistics. We won’t judge and would be ever so grateful for your call. Found a sea turtle floating (if they’re floating as in the video, they’re all good and we can leave them to it) or washed up on the beach? Please call us on 0408 431 304.

18.01.2022 HAPPY FATHERS DAY

12.01.2022 PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT: Recent tidal action has left steep cliffs in our sand dunes at the main beach. This area is definitely no place to play. It might seem fun to jump off or dig into, but with so many hidden hazards below the surface of the sand the risk of injury is very high; as well as contributing to the erosion of the dunes. We ask that parents please warn your children of these hazards and to make safe choices about where they play on the beach. The northern en...d of the main beach has been less affected and is a safer place to access the beach at the moment. Thank-you for your consideration and remember to always swim at a patrolled beach between the red and yellow flags. Tannum Sands Main Beach is patrolled from 9am-5pm every Saturday and Sunday from September until May as well as public holidays.

07.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who has supported us since re-opening it has been amazing!! Just a quick reminder, which I'm sure not only for us here but all dining ven...ues at the moment, when coming to the Club for a meal. We have limited numbers and these have to be adhered to so please.... * If you book a table and can't make it cancel your booking. We turn customers away because we are booked out and then have no shows * If you book for a certain number don't bring extra people, if we are at our maximum numbers they won't be able to enter * Dine at your specified time. If you are in the 7-8.30 timeslot please don't arrive at 6.30 this puts our numbers over limit also. We are nearly booked out in every seating so please be mindful of your dining times. I know it's not the most favourable way but it's what we have to do at the moment with restrictions. But we are very pleased to be open and seeing you all! See more

04.01.2022 Keep an eye out for our Clubbies shaking the tin at a local shopping center near you. Dig deep. All the money donated to our tins goes directly back to our Club.

02.01.2022 This is why we exist While surf sports is fun and challenging, developing our junior surf lifesavers through programs like Nippers and Cadets to become patrolling members is our goal. Not every nipper will become the next famous ironman or ironwoman, but if they learn surf skills to look after themselves and to rescue others then we can make a difference to these statistics. You can help too by always swimming between the red and yellow flags, or by signing up to learn these skills; who knows, you might just save a life
