16.01.2022 SIVA SINGH - BENALLA by Australian Indian History An Ardaas Prayer for Siva Singh on the farm near Benalla, Victoria where Siva spent his last few years. He died in 1955 aged 84. Siva brought the Sri Guru Granth Sahib to Benalla, Victoria in 1920 and it was used for the first reading of the Akhand Path Sahib in December 1920 on his property at Benalla. Siva had a room where the Sri Guru Granth Sahib was kept when his was at the farm and he also carried it in his wagon when ne...eded for cremations or other ceremonies. The family have donated the wagon to the Australian Indian Historical Society Inc. who will now have it preserved and then exhibited at Benalla where Siva Singh spent his life in Australia.
