25.01.2022 WELL DONE!!! Great start to Pennant Season smashing Bargara by 48 points. We might be down but we're not out! Go the Tantitha Tigers - the spirit will live on.
24.01.2022 Congrats to the Tantitha Tigers team beating Bargara 2 rinks to 1 with margin of 15. A pennant flag for our last year...a proud moment in the Tantitha history. Well done.
23.01.2022 Jason Andrewartha - bending down to shake the invisible mans hand...not sure what that bowl is doing in the way though. District sides - Coolum
22.01.2022 A beautiful write up from Robert Edgar - thank you very much for this great article. Well done to Jason Andrewartha and Steve McNamee - you have made us prouder than you can imagine and know that every member is thankful for your efforts to show that, although we were beaten by Mother Nature, our fighting spirit is there til the very end.
20.01.2022 Final of 2013 State Champion of Club Champion PAIRS about to get underway, 12.30pm, Broadbeach Bowls Club. Women's final: West Toowoomba plays Wangaratta (south... of Ayr, between Bowen and Townsville) Men's final: Broadbeach plays Tantitha. Sentimental match for Tantitha, the last rep game to be played on behalf of the club, which folded on June 30 after the devastating floods of January 2011 put a spanner in the works and the floods of January 2013 finished them off. Reps for Tantitha Steven McNamee and Jason 'Hiawatha' Andrewartha. See more
19.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS to Tantitha Tigers Pennants team defeating Elliott Heads - 3 rink wins plus margin 50. Overall after 2 rounds - 6 rink wins plus 98. GO THE MIGHTY TANTITHA TIGERS!!
19.01.2022 It's the beginning of the demolition of Tantitha. Due to the asbestos, we cannot get any photos that are closer. Will try and go tomorrow and get some more. It's a sad day indeed, but thought our past members and friends would like to see what's going on behind the covered fence.
18.01.2022 We have some more photos to share with you. These were taken by former member Joyce Binder. Thank you Joyce - they are pretty confronting.
18.01.2022 Good luck to the Tantitha Tigers in this weekend's pennants. Our clubhouse may be gone, but our fighting spirit continues. Support the Tantitha Tigers and watch them play against Bargara at ACROSS THE WAVES BOWLS CLUB - Saturday.... GO THE TIGERS!!! See you there.
16.01.2022 A sad day for bowls with members voting to wind up the organisation due to the impact of the Australia day flood. The club will continue to play, participating in the 2013 pennant season. Members and visitors are invited to play Wednesday and Saturdays over the next month while the arrangements to wind up the club are completed. Further information and updates will be posted over the following weeks.
16.01.2022 Tantitha Bowls Club flying the flag for the final time, with the Men's Div 1 Pennant Team going down to Gladstone 54-63. We wish Gladstone all the best in their progression to the finals. A big thanks to ATW for hosting the Tantitha team.
16.01.2022 Tony Townson - District Sides, Coolum.
16.01.2022 A MASSIVE congratulations to Australian Pairs Champion of Champions Jason Andrewartha and Steven McNamee. They played the final game yesterday against Victoria and came out on top. This is the final game ever played wearing the Tiger uniform. A bittersweet moment indeed, but what a great way to send off such a great Bundaberg club. Thank you Jason and Steve for your fantastic efforts. You have done us all very proud.
14.01.2022 Tantitha is finally set for demolition. Would be lovely if there was some sort of memorial of our beloved club. Although it will be sad to see it go, it is too sad now seeing Tantitha left to fall apart. http://www.news-mail.com.au//tantitha-bowled-over/2258027/
13.01.2022 Our Commemorative DVD is available to watch via Youtube. Follow the link to see the history of our beloved club. Please feel free to view and share to keep the Tantitha Bowls Club spirit alive. Thanks, Heidi.... http://youtu.be/Ain6aI_AFS8
11.01.2022 Thank you Tony for all you have done for Tantitha...there was a reason we had the best greens - we had you!
11.01.2022 Goes to show our beloved club had copped a Beating from Mother Nature from all of Bundy's floods. The Tantitha St bridge pic I gather is the same location as the little bridge there now just up from where our club stood. If you can clarify, please do in the comments.
11.01.2022 a lovely write-up in the Newsmail about our beloved bowls club
