23.01.2022 I recommend Rebecca Chabot for beginners and advanced yoga enthusiasts. The Sound Bath is full sound immersion with flowing yoga sequencing and a long meditation. The sound deepens the focus and relaxation. Great fun and with waves rolling metres from the door... If you decide to book, take extra blankets so you can be cocooned for the relaxation part. It helps to be lovely and warm.

05.01.2022 Dear friends and clients, As of 17 April 2020 in Tasmania, professional protocol does not permit physical therapy in the form of clinical practice for massage and myotherapy. I wanted to offer some resources to help you self treat mobility and pain issues caused by muscle spasm or fatigue.... http://www.triggerpoints.net https://wizardofhealth.net/muscle-pain/trigger-point/ This is much more in depth and has some good resources for stretching and strengthening. (you really dont need a Wizardball) If you are an existing client, I know you will be aware how to self massage your trigger points. A soft ball, an orange, (rolled socks will do in an emergency), pool noodle, foam yoga block, etc.... placed on the floor or wall as you apply your weight or pressure into trigger points (sore spots). You must be warm and relaxed, just like when you come to the clinic. You can only release at your own pace. There should not be bruising!! Go willingly, gently and respectfully. Your body is wonderful. It is your vehicle for life. If you want to go deeper and use this 'time' to actually begin to heal yourself, be thorough in assessing a wide range of muscles for associated trigger points. Muscle strain or fatigue affects several vital players in the job of moving your bits around. Be curious. Think, or rather feel, into the bigger picture. If the pain is in your hand, most likely your arm is in on it. Check the whole arm, check the shoulder too. Why not! You deserve it. Existing clients are welcome to contact me with questions concerning self treatment. Unfortunately I am not able to take new clients and cannot proffer advice without a detailed history record of your treatment. 03.01.2022 Hi everyone, I'm currently busy working in hospitals with the daring, darling Clown Doctors and on an art and music program called Inscape Tasmania. I should be back in the massage studio in November. Until then, I hope this brings you joy.

01.01.2022 It's been great to rest and be with my family over the summer. I'm having a long break as I will first settle my youngest into school before opening the books again in late February. I've had a chance to reflect on my 20 year career in this physical healing art and have decided I will now work predominantly with a range of Craniosacral and Myofascial techniques. You have received these techniques in my massages over the years, they are deeply effective for stress of physica...l, mental and emotional nature and do not require the application of excessive pressure. Please be clear that I will no longer offer Deep Tissue Remedial or Hawaiian Massage with oil. If you choose to receive a treatment in future it will be appropriate to wear loose comfortable clothing, active wear is fine. Less time spent undressing and washing towels means more hands on treatment. Treatments will be 60 min duration and cost $90. Health fund rebates are applicable. I know sometimes we just want an oil massage and I encourage everyone to keep well and do whatever feels right for you over time. Personally, I receive a range of physical modalities at differing times. As I respect the wisdom of my own body, I respect yours.
