25.01.2022 Lot 75 at the National Limousin sale in May - TBP Daphne N87 - a terrific Aftershock heifer from the proven Daphne female line.

22.01.2022 Cant beat the Limousins...

22.01.2022 538x $52 = almost $28,000 !

22.01.2022 The Show season started slowly in Melbourne. But the cattle hit their straps at Royal Geelong, with an interbreed Reserve Champion, a Bull Show age winner, and Limousin Senior Champion and Reserve Junior Champion bulls. Colac Show this weekend - come on down, late entries accepted - and a Limousin feature at Ballarat the weekend after.

22.01.2022 So weve moved to an online sale. Fingers crossed.

21.01.2022 Well, here we go again.....

21.01.2022 Will be down at the Apollo Bay Foreshore Market tomorrow (Easter Saturday) with fresh, grass-fed pure Limousin beef, dry aged for 3 weeks before processing. Theyre not all keepers! This is just gorgeous - can cut it with a fork. Time for casseroles, osso buco, slow cooking....

20.01.2022 Fully loaded for Show, cattle in trailer, 40 kms down the road and the Disco gives up.... this is why we didnt get to Ballarat!

20.01.2022 First in class, happy with that. Many thanks to Andrew and Jenna for their assistance.

19.01.2022 Vale Greg. A lovely man.

19.01.2022 Congratulations to all of the exhibitors in Victorias inaugural Limousin On Farm Challenge (OFC). What a success! A great initiative proposed and well managed by Shane Hohnberg, supported by James OBrien, Bev MacIntyre and Deb Reynolds (and Hannah!). And of course judge Peter Colllins is a legend... especially when he said such nice things about our cattle! Very pleased that Miss Muffet won her class (and it was a big one). Photo shows her at Melbourne Royal. Maxine Marigold STILL hasnt calved so ruined her chances....

19.01.2022 Champion Beef Female and Champion Beef Bull at the Apollo Bay Show on Saturday! Very pleased with our junior Credentials bull (on right) who loved his first outing. Thanks to Lilli, Ros and Woody.

18.01.2022 Some interesting observations here. Gonna throw the dog a bone. If people are left or right-handed, are cattle left or right hoofed? And if they are, would it have any implications for cattle handling or yard design? https://www.beefcentral.com//are-cattle-left-or-right-hoo/

18.01.2022 TWO DAYS LEFT TO REGISTER! Registrations for the inagural Capitalise on Carcase Conference are closing this Wednesday 15th May! Head over to www.limousin.com.au/sales-/capitalise-on-carcase-conference before its too late!

17.01.2022 Lot 105 at the Limousin National sale on Friday. HOMO POLLED FRENCH PURE heifer. The only FP female in the sale. Softer style, good EBVs, an absolute sweetheart. Photo taken a few months ago so shes bigger now....

16.01.2022 New (secondhand ) wheels.

15.01.2022 Dont write off the old dog yet.... 100% result with our AI program today - OK, so not many, but 9 out of 9 females cycled.

15.01.2022 "Regenerative agriculture is just booming. I think this is a train that youre not going to stop" Nicole Masters - Agroecologist and a fantastic soil educator.

15.01.2022 Lot 103 at the Limousin National Show and Sale. Big powerful B Bar Brick daughter out of a good show cow. Now tested homo polled, and just joined to Warrigal High Vision, sire of the Grand Champion female at Sydney Royal Show. Have a good look at this one!

15.01.2022 Congratulations Brad Frohloff!

14.01.2022 Well who would have thought it? A calm, dry weekend in the middle of June and we now have a roof over the cattle crush! Mike helped Colin finish it off and thanks also to Seth and Pete for their recent help.

11.01.2022 Yesterdays grand champion bull has been knocked down for $28,000. Flemington Longhard L36 has been sold to Garren Park Genetics. Stock Journal The Land Livestock Fairfax Livestock

08.01.2022 Very pleased with our quiet achiever, Tanybryn Park Miss Muffet, awarded Supreme Limousin at the Royal Geelong and Colac Shows. Thats it for us this year! (Thank you to Ruby Canning for the photo).

07.01.2022 Another first this week - the first GTMO Balfour calf in Australia - and we have a HP French Pure bull, big and strong! Hopefully a big future for this fellow.

06.01.2022 Limousin National Show and Sale

05.01.2022 The Winter edition of the Limousin magazine is now available online! The hard copies are running off the press now and will be in your mailbox shortly. Be sure to catch up with all things Limo and share with your friends and family!

05.01.2022 WORLD STEAK CHALLENGE 2017 WINNER UNVEILED - The winning steak was a Sirloin Grain-fed Limousin Cross aged 29 months and matured for 14 days, produced by F&M Frckowiak, Poland, and submitted by ABP Poland. Eoin Ryan of ABP, was ecstatic about winning the title of Worlds Best Steak indicating that this award will certainly help put Poland on the map in terms of beef production. Now in its third year, the World Steak Challenge 2017 was held at The Magic Roundabout in Old Street, London on 4 July. For 2017, the competition was expanded to include Rib-Eye and Fillet as well as the original Sirloin category.

04.01.2022 Weekly genetics review: Which breed dominates beef production in the United Kingdom? By Jon Condon, 17 October 2017 In the country where the breed originated, its interesting to note that Angus cattle do not dominate the UK beef industry as they now do in the US, Canada, Argentina and temperate regions of Australia. What is the UKs most popular breed type?... https://www.beefcentral.com//weekly-genetics-review-which/

04.01.2022 Have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of our Hunt Credential 37C calves and the first one was born this morning - the first Australian Credentials calf! A sturdy little bull out of a Longreach cow - he hadnt quite worked out which end of the cow to latch on to in the photo. Then the second one arrived just as the sun was setting. A good day.....

03.01.2022 Terrific to know that a couple of our repeat bull buyers are being rewarded for their hard work (and astute choice of genetics!)

02.01.2022 Our two entries in the Limousin national sale are coming along nicely now. Have only been on show feed for 7 weeks, which isnt much time - should have started earlier! A bit of a shame none of the cattle will have a chance to strut their stuff, as the sale will be online.

02.01.2022 The friends of the late MR GREGORY DAVID FROST "FROSTY" are respectfully invited to attend His Funeral Service To be held at ST STEPHENS ANGLICAN CHURCH... JULIA STREET, PORTLAND On WEDNESDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER Commencing at 2.00PM PRIVATELY CREMATED

02.01.2022 So we've moved to an online sale. Fingers crossed.

02.01.2022 The bulls did well at Colac - Masthead (photo) won the bull show and Midas was senior interbreed bull. And it was a very pleasant weekend with fellow breeders. Colac is a good show and we need the sheds to be fuller next year - theres room for 150 head at least!

01.01.2022 It could have been any of us....
