25.01.2022 One of my goals this year is to stop procrastinating and just be and create. Ive slowly realised I that I procrastinate because I fear rejection, of being not good enough and producing work that isnt a high standard. So tonight I sat down and I created anyway. I havent been in this type of creative headspace for a while. You know that state of mind where time doesnt seem to pass and you just create or work on something you enjoy. Ive dreamed of creating a composite fine art piece since I first started as a photographer back in 2010. This is a series (or a single image - I havent decided yet) exploring the theme of searching within ourselves.

24.01.2022 Walking up to these incredibly large mountains and cliff faces is a humbling experience. Travelling around Scotland has led us to some truly breathtaking parts of the world and Old Man of Storr certainly tops the list. Weve found dinosaur footprints, trudged through knee-deep waters to trek across to some Fairy Pools, driven though unbelievably stunning glens and ranges and climbed a few Bens (mountains).

22.01.2022 #Iamwoman. For as long as I can remember, women both young and old have profoundly impacted my life. From my mother, to the teachers who challenged me and never let me stop, to the hard working and motivated women who I went to university with, to strangers simply asking if I was okay, to my nanas, my great grandmother who is still alive and all the women who I have worked with. We are so hard on ourselves, set often impossible expectations for ourselves and beat ourselves do...wn when we dont reach our goals. We all have histories, stories, failures and wins that make us who we are. When I photograph women, it is their comfort and confidence to be completely themselves that makes it so addicting to photograph people. The more women I photograph, the more I realise each woman has her own story; a blueprint of her path into being the person she is now. #iamwoman is the movement of being unashamedly you. 22.01.2022 DOGS // Theyre messy, barky, in-tune with moods and are all-around good boys and girls. This old boy is nearly 13 and regularly reminds us of his ownership of the house by leaving trails of food, destruction and dog-shaped imprints on blankets. Hes super proud of those facts too

18.01.2022 Oh Scotland you. It occasionally rains, says a few of the locals. Its breathtaking, beautiful and lusciously green. The moody clouds soak the light away and create an atmosphere that is foreboding yet somehow magical. The allure of the mountains and freshwater draws you in around every bend in the road.

Its hard to pinpoint exactly what makes it so - the fresh air, the rolling green hills, the windy walks and the friendly people all make it a truly wonderful place to visit. Plus, there are these little cuties (almost) everywhere!

17.01.2022 Oh hey there! Im Tanysha and Im a professional portrait photographer now living in the UK. Im travelling and working around the world and I am so thankful I get to do what I love. Im no stranger to being self-conscious in front of the camera, in fact, I have no full body photos of myself from the age of about 11 onwards because I had no self-esteem, low self-worth and didnt love myself. I know the pain and anxiety that cameras create because when you see yourself in an ...image and your self-perception doesnt match up with what you see, the cycle of self-hate and low self-worth starts up again. There is something so powerful about seeing yourself in third person because the image our brains create of ourselves is often misaligned, one way or the other. Our western society instils in young girls and boys that thin=happiness which I can attest to the fact is 100 per cent, not true. Weight does not define self-worth; does not define self-love and does not define who you are as a person. I thought that when I went from 110kg to 68kg, Id be happy and the sad truth was, it wasnt the case. Id lost nearly half my body weight and hated myself more because I hadnt healed my self-worth and my relationship with my body. Im still on my path of healing and being in front of the camera is the most nerve-wracking thing I could think of. Which is why when clients walk in my studio door and they are nervous or a little anxious, I simply say, "Tell me your story." And we laugh, we cry together (its happened more than once Ill admit), we belly laugh together and we share our eternal struggles of being human. A photograph of someone is that person essentially existing forever. That is a portraiture session to me, and I truly love what I do.

16.01.2022 Currently exploring Wales and staying at a coffee roastery/farm (my two favourite things in the world - caffeine and animals) where I had the fortunate opportunity to photograph some of the animals there. A little different to the usual studio portrait and wedding (these little ones dont heed well to stage direction) but I was in my element. Featuring one very sassy rooster (posed every time I had the camera facing him), a family of geese and two very sleepy cats.

13.01.2022 I had the opportunity to break out of my comfort zone today and it was the most freeing experience Ive had in a while. I always feel like I cant create work in other genres of photography because that isnt me but Im the only one telling myself that. Its time to take a long hard look at why I do what I do and create from a point of passion, innovation and expression. Time to explore.

11.01.2022 WEDDING AVAILABILITY: Due to the ever-changing COVID-19 restrictions for weddings I am only taking one wedding booking per month. The reason for this is that if a couple needs to change to a later date theres a higher possibility of ensuring Im available for that day. I personally am in the same position as a lot of engaged couples as weve had to postpone our own wedding until next year. Currently, September and October are booked but November and December are both free. ...There will be no loss of deposit if you have to postpone your wedding due to COVID-19. Everyone is in this together and Im here to work with you. Our prints and products will be sourced from South Australia only, ensuring that postage and the chain of delivery is reduced to SA. 09.01.2022 We were at the Edinburgh Youth Climate Strike back in September of this year and there was such an incredible energy around the place. It was fantastic to see so many people involved in the day to create a respectful and peaceful protest through the streets of Edinburgh.

07.01.2022 I used to think natural light was limiting. Until today. Such an open, passionate lecture from one of my favourite photographers Brooke Shaden. Creating from a place of passion, soul and heart creates different work and I am so excited to explore what that means for me.

07.01.2022 We visited a very gloomy but beautiful castle in Germany just before we headed to the Rhine. Although closed for winter, it sits well within a little valley and graces you as you turn the corner along the tourist path making it well worth the trek to view it.

02.01.2022 EUROPE 2019 // 9,650 photographs later. Im so incredibly thankful for last year. For 13 months we worked and travelled in the UK and Europe, exploring everything we could. Libraries/book stores are one of Jarrads favourite things to see and this one, in particular, was beautiful. Located in Porto, Portugal it is said to have inspired none other than J.K Rowling with its design, architecture and rows upon rows of high bookshelves. Over the next few weeks, Im going to release some of my favourite shots from the trip. If youd like some travel tips and tidbits, Id be happy to help!
