23.01.2022 A job completed today! These custom made grilles will be installed in January 2021. Our client asked for a design like this with decorative scrolls welded into the ends of each grille. These grilles will be installed to a Mediterranean style home. They should look great once installed. Taplin Security Products is 100% Australian owned family business and all products are proudly manufactured here in our Brisbane (Northgate) factory. 21.01.2022 Here’s a sneak peek at an order that will be installed next week. These doors are Hamptons styled to follow the lines of the timber doors. The steel bars in these doors are pure decoration only as the gaps are too large for security purposes. The doors have SecureView security screens rebated in the door frames. By adding the SecureView screens, these are now security doors with insect screen. These doors also feature upgraded 316 marine grade stainless steel door hardware. Looking forward to seeing the finished product installed.

19.01.2022 This installation was completed early this week at Red Hill. A slightly modified version of our standard TD 6 design. The clear gap mid-rail allows for the large decorative door knob on the timber door to clear. As you can see the Black security door stands out against a white background timber door.

19.01.2022 Fresh off the welding bench today! This is a Taplin standard design (TD8). The final phase in manufacturing is a 5 stage treatment including a powder coating process. 14.01.2022 Please see below a lovely email received from a lady seeking advise on how to remove their steel grilles as they were in the process of doing a minor renovation. (Painting old timber casement windows). We didn't manufacture or install these grilles originally, but it it nice to receive some feedback on our service we provide. "Good morning Bill, Thank you so much for your assistance when I rang Taplin yesterday. I am sorry to have bothered you, but I was running out of ide...as how to solve the problem. I am very thankful for your kindness and professionalism. You had no obligation to assist me, but did so. Also your expertise was proven; your assessment of the type of screw was spot-on. My husband was able to buy a small tool from the hardware store which successfully removed the screws. When I could see it up close, there was indeed a tiny, tiny triangle inside the round hole in the centre. Clever, you! Thank you again - your willingness to assist was most appreciated and if I need security in the future I shall turn to Taplin, knowing that I shall receive expert, professional service. Stella D"

13.01.2022 An installation completed today at Nudgee Beach. These Hampton styled doors complement the styling of this beautiful beach side home. These photos show our bar placement aligns perfectly with the timber door features. These doors also have SecureView as the backing behind the steel bar features. By doing this, they are now security doors with insect screen. Door handle hardware has also been upgraded to a 316 satin stainless steel finish. We love the finished result and so does our valued client.

10.01.2022 A pair of custom designed steel bar security doors. Colour: Black Satin or C/B Night Sky. These doors feature up graded patterns and 12mm solid square bars.

10.01.2022 Here are the same doors posted in our newsfeed yesterday. They have been installed today! As you can see the black patterns are difficult to see based on the light conditions during this photo. Our client chose black as they didn’t want the doors to standout or be too obvious. If the colour Primrose (Cream) was selected, the new security doors would definitely be a standout feature. Selecting the right colour is always important to achieve the desired result!

10.01.2022 Fresh off the welding bench today! A custom pair of entry doors. These will be heading down to the powder coaters early next week for the final process. Then followed by a professional installation by Taplin Security Products.

09.01.2022 We often get asked do we manufacture security products for supply only, self install. The answer is yes! With all supply only, self install items manufacturing measurements must be supplied by the client. The client also wears the responsibility to make sure sizes are correct. Once items are manufactured to specific sizes....they cannot be altered. So if you are able and willing to measure and install your security products, you can save significant $$$. Taplin also advises h...ow products should be installed to meet security standards. Here are some photos taken by our valued client of their supply only, self installation that took place on the Sunshine Coast. Previously our client had diamond grille security screens. The change to new SecureView security screens has made the world of difference, especially when plantation shutters have also been installed. The clear midrail has been positioned within the door so it aligns with the midrail of our clients timber door. All our steel security products are manufactured here in Brisbane. 05.01.2022 Taplin Security Products will be open for business on Monday 11th January 2020, however our office/showroom and factory will be closed to the public due to the Government COVID-19 lock down. 04.01.2022 Fresh off the welding bench today! At Taplin we haven’t stopped manufacturing and have now started orders for 2021. This door and small pedestrian gate was designed by an architect. The theory behind the design was to make the items look Retro so it is in keeping with the style are era of the home. Although the design looks simple, it was a very time consuming and labour intensive manufacture. The horizontal bars have been drilled accurately so the vertical bars go through the horizontals and then fully welded. The design is exceptionally strong.....and heavy! These items will be powder coated Satin Black and then installed professionally by Taplin Security Products in early 2021.

03.01.2022 This entry door was installed last week at Wooloowin. It is a standard Taplin design (TD 4). The door is insect screened with pet proof mesh for extra durability. Unfortunately the lighting conditions weren’t ideal for taking these photos. The door is powder coated satin black and the steel door buildout is powder coated pearl white. By doing this, the buildout blends in with the white timber door surrounds.

02.01.2022 An installation completed today at Balmoral. Decorative steel bar security grilles installed on Louvre windows. Our client chose this design as it is his music studio and wanted to see scrolls while looking out. Clip on insect screens have also been added to keep those annoying insects away.
