09.01.2022 KINDNESS OF THE HEART - BREATH OF LIFE I BOW TO YOU. And I’m coming home and I’m coming home. ONG NAMO GURU DEV NAMO ... Spoken together, Ong Namo means to call on our highest consciousness to receive. Guru means teacher, literally one who brings us from darkness into light. Dev means subtle or divine. Together, Guru Dev Namo calls on the divine teacher within to guide us. I bow to the Creative Wisdom, I bow to the Divine Teacher within. This mantra is used for tuning in to the divine flow and self-knowledge within each of us and linking us to the Golden Chain of teachers. What is the Golden Chain and how does it relate to me? The Golden Chain is a way of describing the energetic link that exists between a teacher, their teacher, their teacher’s teacher and so on back into history. So what else does Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo mean? Sacred words often have multiple meanings and that is the case for this Mantra. It is a mantra that both protects us and connects us to the highest source of wisdom. There are many ways to translate it, but one is, I bow to the All-That-Is. I bow to the Divine Wisdom within myself. All teachings are there to tell you to be yourself. Who are you? Find out through your breath; conscious breathing.
