14.01.2022 ATTENTION PEOPLE OF TARA! Tara futures AGM will be held on the 12th of December 2013. We need the numbers to keep the group going. If we don't get the numbers, the Tara camel races and festival of culture is in danger! Please spread the word.

12.01.2022 Kids getting bored?? Why not bring them down to the Tara Lagoon for Play Outside Day. We will have some fun new activities for them to try and its all FREE. All you need is a hat, some sunscreen and a snack. The fun starts at 10.30 am. See you there

09.01.2022 Just putting up to see who is interested in a bus trip to the Darling Downs zoo There are lions,snakes,lizards,monkeys,turtles,birds,crocs and much more Date: 3rd of October Leaving TARA bp @ 7am there will be a sausage sizzle lunch but you can buy your own from the front desk at the zoo there's a 60 seat bus going and 15 seats are already filled... 06.01.2022 Is everyone ready for the Colour Fun Run to be held at the Tara Football grounds this Wednesday 30th September, starting at 1.30 pm. Here's just a sample of some of the great colours that will be available for purchase on the day. Come on down and have some fun while raising some money for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

03.01.2022 Due to the fantastic weather we are getting at the moment the Australia Day Award Ceremony has been moved to the Function Room at Tara Council. Everything will still proceed as advertised and a free breakfast will be provided by Tara Apex Club

02.01.2022 This year Australia Day in the district will be marked with a breakfast event hosted by the Tara Historical Society at the Tara Museum in Milne Street. A free breakfast provided by Western Downs Regional Council and kindly being cooked by the Tara Apex Club, will start the event at 9am. This will be followed by the official ceremony at 10am, where local people will be recognized for their contributions to the community through the citizen of the year award, sports and cult...ural awards. This is a family friendly event so please bring along the family to take a tour of the museum, have some yummy breakfast, to take part in the fun games following the ceremony and to support your local community groups!
