21.01.2022 NOW IN STORE: Agapanthus Snowball. Even in the driest conditions, Agapanthus thrive and look cool with their glossy green foliage that falls in strap like clusters. In non flowering seasons the foliage looks impressive, especially when planted en-masse along a driveway or in front of a garden bed or hedge. But it is in the warmer months that Agapanthus really come into their own, with large purple or white flowers atop of long graceful green stems that bob in the breeze. We n...ow have a great little Agapanthus now in store: Agapanthus Snowball is a dwarf growing white variety. It is as tough as its taller counterparts, but has a small flower head and much shorter stem. Looks great in a pot (even bring it inside when it is in flower, would look great as part of a dinner setting). Snowball will grow to 30cm in width and height and is extremely tough and dry tolerant. 08.01.2022 Great to see one of our new release plants: The Mandarin Lime, from the Patio Orchard Collection in the media. This was in the "Quick News" section of the Gold Coast Bulletin in August. The most common question we get asked about this plant? Is it a Lime or a Mandarin? It is the best of both ... fruit that looks and peels like a Mandarin but tastes like a Lime, Corona anyone?

06.01.2022 NOW IN STORE: Which plant bears copious amounts of fruit with very little attention, is very pleasing to the eye and can be grown practically anywhere? Passionfruit really is a great addition to the garden. Not only does it offer an abundance of tangy fruit (perfect for Pavlova, yoghurt or a Daiquiri!) but it is also an amazing screening plant. Once established its foliage can provide a dence cover for walls and trellises - or ugly old shed and garages.Look for Panama Gold or Panama Red from your preferred plant retailer. These are fast growing varieties and now is an ideal time to get them in the ground and established for the Summer rains.
