17.01.2022 Recycled Reading Tara is donating recycled textbooks to bushfire impacted Moruya High School and Bateman’s Bay High School. The project has been well supported with more than 50 boxes of books collected. ... We thank SOS Removals who are kindly transporting the boxes for us. 14.01.2022 State Winner We are thrilled to announce that Na-Young from Year 10 has been selected as the state winner of the National History Challenge in the Democracy Matters category. Na-Young composed an essay assessing the impact of Robert Menzies’ legacy in Australia and the controversies of it during his time as Prime Minister. She has been invited to receive her award on 3 December at the Anzac Memorial at Hyde Park and will be sharing a brief statement at the event about what s...he has learned from her participation in the National History Challenge as part of the ceremony proceedings. 08.01.2022 Write a Book in a Day Recently 30 Tara girls from Year 5 and Year 6 worked in the Tara Junior School Library from 8am to 8pm to create, write, edit and illustrate a book for the Write a Book in a Day Challenge. The commitment, creativity and collaboration shown by the girls were extraordinary. Congratulations to each girl who participated in the competition and thank you to Mrs Brogan for her enthusiastic support.... The girls sought sponsorship from families and friends to raise money for the Kid’s Cancer Project with excellent results. A copy of each book will be put into a hospital for sick kids to enjoy. We just love these photos, they are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. ‘Kindifarm’ visited our Kindy bringing some gorgeous visitors including baby pigs, goats, rabbits, sheep, ducks, a calf, guinea pigs and little chickens.... During the educational and fun-filled visit our Kindy girls fed, petted, held and cuddled all the animals.
