15.01.2022 The 2019-20 bush fire season was the most challenging NSW has ever faced - and took an enormous toll on communities across the state. After major events like th...is, we conduct community research to better understand how people prepared and responded to the fires. You may have been impacted by the fires, or you may have been travelling in an area that was impacted. 08.01.2022 Some good tips on preparing your home. While Tarago RFS Station is not open tomorrow in the usual sense, due to last fire season, 2 firefighters will be at the station from 10.00-12.00 to assist any landholder who needs some help with their fire plans. #getreadyweekend

07.01.2022 Tarago has 2 trucks for over 600 properties, which is why 90% of properties have a bushfire plan. While Get Ready Weekend was last weekend, if you don't have a Bushfire Plan, our Community Liaison Officer, Julia, has plenty of resources and can help you formulate one. How fireproof is your plan? #getreadyweekend #nswrfs #howfireproofisyourplan

06.01.2022 The Bush Fire Danger Period will offically start on the 1st October 2020 for the Southern Tablelands Zone (Goulburn Mulwaree, Upper Lachlan & Yass Shire Council areas). If you intend to continue undertaking burning activities you will need a permit, as well as notifying your neighbours and the fire control centre - failure to do so, can result in a substantial fine being issued. Permits can be obtained from your local brigade. Now is the time to prepare and test your Bush Fire Survival plan!! For further advice in preparing, Visit: rfs.nsw.gov.au/plan-and-prepare
