25.01.2022 Folks please search for Tarana Volunteer Bushfire Brigade Members Group and join the group. We will be posting to this group from now on because using a Facebook group provides notifications to members of every post, unlike a Face book page where facebook decides if you see the posts or not.

24.01.2022 Brendan Barry and Gregg Jones would like to shout all fire fighters who call into the Tarana Hotel and have a couple of beers and a hamburger on them, please remember your wife, husband or partner. Thank you Brendan and Greg

24.01.2022 Thank you so much to Bathurst Pay it Forward who have given us some much needed supplies of water, electrolytes, snack bars and a $50 cash donation. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this donation.

19.01.2022 It is the end of an era at the NSW Rural Fire Service today. After more than 30 years in the Service, and after more than 12 years as Commissioner, Shane Fitzsi...mmons leaves the organisation today. He's taking up a new role within NSW Government as the Commissioner of Resilience NSW and as Deputy Secretary of Emergency Management. Shane has seen us, and the community, through some of the toughest of conditions and experiences during this time. We say farewell and 'thank you'.

19.01.2022 Today we celebrated Mum’s life at Mutton Falls B & B We were overwhelmed with the crowd that attended to say goodbye to her. Way too many people to try and remember so please except our thank you to everyone from The Fletcher Family, so many people helped us get through today, our focus is now on Dad and helping him through the next phase of healing, with a strong family group around him we hope we can ease his pain. Tarana RFS a massive thank you for Mum’s guard on honour, ...she would have been delighted and I was very proud to be a member of Tarana thank you all Thank you to John and Lyn from Mutton Falls for allowing us to use your venue, once again your efforts were remarkable See more

18.01.2022 NSW RFS Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons is retiring... But he's taking on a new role, leading Resilience NSW, an agency created to prepare for, respond to and... recover from disasters. Mr Fitzsimmons' has been praised for his outstanding leadership and his handling of the 2019-2020 NSW bushfires. He announced his retirement to the NSW Government but was asked to take on the new role. He starts in a month. Rob Rogers, Shane's long time Deputy will take over as RFS Commissioner. Congratulations Shane and congratulations Rob!

17.01.2022 You never know what you find in a shed

16.01.2022 Hello everyone Just so you hear it from me and not second hand I’ve decided that I won’t be continuing on with my group captain role. I won’t be accepting re nomination for the role, family must come first and I’m stepping back to focus on Dad and the family business. Thank you for the support I’ve received, I’ll still try and give the Tarana Brigade as much time as I can. Stay safe and I’ll catch you all around the traps at some stage... Regards Fletch

15.01.2022 A massive thank you for the support our brigade received today at the Farmers Market, our donation bucket was once again supported, we are humbled by the community support we continue to receive, this money will go to more gear for our crews which will make their job easier and much safer With the fire season having a long way to run this money will be invaluable. Many thanks to the Tarana Community Group for giving our volunteers the day off from cooking, it was really appre...ciated and allowed our crews some much needed rest. Thank you to Dave Perry for helping me with our bush cooking, nothing like damper cooked on the coals, the leg of lamb cooked in my homemade cooker and Hillbilly spun steel camp oven went down quickly, happy dicks were popular and Mountain Meats 3 bird sausages were well received. Finally thank you to the Farmers Market Committee for today, we enjoy working together to make Tarana Market continue to get better and better.

14.01.2022 Please remember Mumma Snows Cafe opens tomorrow, there is a tab running courtesy of Michael Antonio, he would like to shout you a coffee or a meal over the next few weeks for your great work on the fire ground or at the shed, so make sure you grab your wife, husband or partner and come along and enjoy a bit of R & R, remember your partners are just as affected by your absence as you are. Many thanks for your support Michael, a very generous offer

08.01.2022 Thank you all so very much for your love and support through this hard time. Due to the covid pandemic our family has decided to postpone the funeral of Chris Robbins until further notice. Love Kelly Robbins
