24.01.2022 The final Working Bee for the year will be next Sunday. Let’s get into the Christmas Spirit and share a festive morning tea Extra parsley for anyone wearing Christmas bling!
22.01.2022 My new preferred method of keeping freshly cut spinach and rainbow chard. This is two full days after picking and it looks as robust as it did while still in the ground #communitygarden #sharetheharvest #organic #lovelocal #lowfoodmiles #foodsmart #lovefoodhatewaste
21.01.2022 The garden loved today’s rain and our plantings are going gang busters! I planted some spare Italian zucchini and crystal cucumber seedlings from home. It will be great to get together this weekend to do some weeding and give our food more room to grow
20.01.2022 Thank you to Manning Focus Mag for the piece on our garden! Click on the link to access the article.
19.01.2022 Working Bee tomorrow from 9am to 11am. Come and start your Sunday right!
19.01.2022 We were fewer in number today but that didn’t stop us jumping in and getting the garden in order. Plenty of weeding and watering done and a lovely take home of fresh lettuce and spinach for all. We also hung some new bunting made by the clever Angela Callaghan. Things are looking bright and colourful
18.01.2022 This looks fun!
17.01.2022 It’s Monday - start planning your weekend and pencil in the Working Bee at Taree Community Garden this Sunday. The changes in the garden since last month are quite spectacular. So much growth!
17.01.2022 Last nights rain gave the garden a boost. One of our volunteers shared this picture. Our produce has got it’s Frida on
17.01.2022 The best looking volunteer group in the Manning Valley! And what do you think of our bunting? It grows with every bee
15.01.2022 Check out some of the fabulous photos from today’s working bee. So much growth in the garden following the rain. Check out our harvest of carrots, beetroot, rainbow chard and more! Also check out the growth in the Queensland Blue pumpkins. Thank you everyone for your wonderful efforts
15.01.2022 Kiss The Ground is now on Netflix. By clearing lands we have disrupted microclimates, microclimates that generate humidity and rain. When we do this, we have droughts, more severe, more prolonged and we have desertification. Currently the world only has enough top soil to last 60 years - another 60 harvests. The irony is we have the answers, we know what needs to be done but seemingly we lack the will. We need to do different and our farmers need to lead the way. Stop tilling, stop releasing carbon, start working with nature and capture it. The answer is in the soil #carbondrawndown #ourplanet #farmingrevolution #politicalrevolution

08.01.2022 Tune into Australian Story tonight at 8pm for an important story on Regenerative Agriculture - the clearest path to climate recovery.
07.01.2022 Due to the wet muddy conditions and the likelihood of rain at the Working Bee start time, I have made the decision to move the Bee to next weekend. Enjoy your Sunday and I hope to see you next week!
07.01.2022 MYSTERY BIRD: So Lauren dropped into the garden today to water and took a terrific photo of an unusual bird in full flight. The species has us a little stumped...any ideas? Also get in there and pick some spinach and rainbow chard. Lots on offer!
01.01.2022 HoHoHo! We had a lovely morning in the garden, a relatively quick working bee followed by morning tea before running home to escape the heat. This will be our last Bee for the year, so we weeded, waterered and mulched heavily to protect the soil over Summer. Have a merry December
