25.01.2022 There are 80 rings left for this year's race, now the boarders are open and it's not too late to breed a few entries for the 2021 race and be in it. Birds accepted till the end of Feb.

19.01.2022 First intake of birds due today, all the work now begins. 92 rings left. Birds can be sent till the end of February.

19.01.2022 It's with much reluctance I have decided to cancel the race for this year. I have so much work to do I can't do the race justice at this time. Also I can't afford the exspence of a new transporter just now. The 40 birds already in the loft with the owners permission can stay for a special 2yr old event for just those birds in conjunction with the next year's race. If they want them back now, no problem. All others will get a refund asap. As soon as I have power restored I will be able to update the website and give full details of my plan for those birds already in loft. Sorry to all but hope you understand in the circumstances.

16.01.2022 We are good to go for 2021 with over 200 confirmed entries so far; Don't forget to down load the entry form and fill it in when you send your birds, no birds before November.

15.01.2022 Hi all, if you look at my website you can see in the results page those birds still here after the bashing the falcon have been giving me. They had their first training run today approx 25km, got hit as soon as they got out and it continued for 15 mins and that I watched but happy to report all made it home in 34 mins, good head wind as well.

14.01.2022 Hi All; Hope you are well; I want to start sending the rings out for those who have ordered them, my concern is ?? will the other states be able to send their birds with all the boarder closures and not a lot of planes flying?? I need 400 hundred birds to be able to pay out the usual prize money; the less birds then prizes will have to be adjusted accordingly.If you are entering please email me how many so I can do some calculations as to the viability of running the event next year. I want to have the race so lets hope the entries come?

13.01.2022 I have just been given some mixed news 're my place. Lost machinery shed with tractor, caravan, pigeon transporter, Hilux front end burned?? Ducks gone but our house, race loft and stock cages ok??? just burnt a little, VERY LUCKY. Not allowed in as yet and not for couple of days??? May be able to have police escort to feed and water if fires in area are under control??

10.01.2022 Just over 100 birds in the loft at the moment with about 200 more booked, still room for another 100 so what's stopping you to enter?? Would like to see those last spots filled, I can breed then for you if needed?? Book now with 50% deposit.

08.01.2022 Sorry to report but there is a very strong possibility that the race will be cancelled due to the fires here. Very possible with no RSF available and no power for water I had to abandon my place with everything around me alight. Very possible ALL buildings birds etc lost including my house. Will not know until we are allowed to return. Very sorry to all if their birds are lost???? with all mine?????my stock were all on eggs and young. Money will be refunded if I have to cancel.

06.01.2022 The results page on the web site has the 4 training runs carried out so far. Have not done any for 2 weeks as the Rota is in area. Evidence in the loft the Rota has arrived with a few birds showing slight symptoms as at 20.7.20, monitoring closely but all seems ok at the moment??

04.01.2022 Hi All; hope you are well are doing the correct thing with your social distancing etc. The birds are looking very good at the moment that are in the loft and enjoying just lazing around. Don"t know when this virus business will be over but at this stage Next Years race will still be held with new intake of birds probably starting November?? Rings will be sent out for those who require them no earlier than September. As the time goes on and we all get a better understanding of what may take place and when I will advise all but until then there isn't much to say? Stay safe and do the right thing for ALL.
