As we get close to Chrismas time and you are out shopping you can visit a Target store and buy a $2 Bauble, all of that money will go to help families across Australia who are struggling this Christmas.

19.01.2022 Athletics Australia Para-athlete Sarah Walsh visited Uniting Kippax with gifts of food and presents to donate to the Christmas Appeal. Sarah was able to see the hard work done by the team at Uniting to distribute all of the donations to those in need. Sarah is a T44 long jumper and competed at 2 World Championships and at the Rio Paralympics. Sarah has also kindly shared a little of the journey she has taken to be an elite athlete, a very inspiring story. Thank you to the #AIS, Sport Australia Commonwealth Games Australia, Australian Paralympic Team and Athletics Australia for supporting the UnitingCare and Target Christmas Appeal

19.01.2022 UnitingCare Australia today welcomes the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability UnitingCare Australia works t...o support the most vulnerable people living in Australia. This is the time to hear the lived experience of those with a disability and to explore the changes that are needed to promote best practice and transform society. National Director, Claerwen Little, said: We are called to consider the fact that people with disability have for too long confronted violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation. This long-awaited Royal Commission is an opportunity for us to work together to create a society that is inclusive, respectful of difference and for everyone to have the life they aspire to. We are committed to working with the Royal Commission throughout the process openly and transparently to realise the fundamental rights of people living with disabilities.

The Family Group Homes and Futures Foster Care teams came together at the Jo Wheatley All Abilities Place Space in Dalkeith last Saturday, putting on a special party for our young people.

04.01.2022 Inspiring Stories for Christmas Athletics Australia Para-athlete Cameron Crombie has shared a wonderful story about what you can achieve with a team behind you. Cameron visited Uniting Kippax with athletes from #AIS, Sport Australia, Australian Paralympic Team and Athletics Australia visited with presents and food hampers to donate to the Christmas Appeal. Cameron competes in Shot Put under classification F38 and has won a Gold medal for Australia at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Uniting Kippax in the ACT received a generous donation of gifts and food hampers from athletes at Basketball Australia's Centre of Excellence, Commonwealth Games Australia, Australian Paralympic Team and Athletics Australia, all thanks to the #AIS.
