19.01.2022 Photography ideas for isolation:- * learn your camera * family photo shoot * photograph your pets - set up different scenes or outfits for your pets * food (eg. ink drops in a glass of water, coffee) ... * pick a different subject in the house or backyard everyday and focus on that (eg. water, plants, flowers, insects, objects, Dad's shed, etc) * water (eg splashes, droplets) * soap films and bubbles * smoke * oil on water * trees and shrubs (bark, branches and leaves can be excellent photography subjects) There are many more ideas to be found just google it!

18.01.2022 My thought of the day resonates in these photos here. The first is a reminder that it's one step at a time to get to where we are going. The hoof print represents the hard work it is going to take to get there. The other two are of home and the calm of the end of the day where we should reflect on those steps taken and plan for the next. And being of my home town the last two keep me grounded. 18.01.2022 I just had a visit from two lovely girls from CanTeen letting me know about the support services they have available in the Gippsland area. Their enthusiasm wa...s infectious and we had a great discussion about who CanTeen are and what they do. I promised to share the reminder on Facebook because I believe it is such an important service to be aware and mindful of. Cancer can happen to any of us at anytime and it doesn't discriminate by age. CanTeen help young people aged 12-25 cope with cancer in their family. Through CanTeen, they learn to explore and deal with their feelings about cancer, connect with other young people in the same boat and if theyve been diagnosed themselves, they also provide specialist, youth-specific treatment teams. So if you or a parent are suffering, or if you are a friend, parent or sibling of someone under 25 that is suffering cancer, please don't think twice about contacting CanTeen so you have someone supporting you in your corner <3 <3 <3

17.01.2022 Well I had the pleasure of photographing the end of 6 week training for some beautiful puppies and dogs today! Pictures to come along with details on how to get in touch with Our Dogs to register your interest in getting your best friend, not only some discipline and training, but the opportunity to make some great puppy pals (that goes for parents too!!) Just couldn't help but share this one. Talk about the perfect student :) ... Definitely straight A's all the way from Freedom Photography!!!!

15.01.2022 Apologies everybody but I will not be doing any photo shoots until late January. I have, unfortunately, fractured my foot and this is going to make it difficult to deliver the quality that I pride myself on delivering. So sorry for anyone that had me in mind. I should be back in action the last week of January. Thanks :)
14.01.2022 I came across this pic tonight while looking for something on my hard drive. Taken many years ago in Wallaroo, South Australia. The colours are amazing in contrast to the silhouette of the fishermen. Ahhhh Mother Nature <3

Isolation has been tough on everyone, but I have also loved seeing people's creative sides in art and especially photography. Given we were all restricted to our homes or workplaces (for those lucky enough), photography subjects became limited - or so we thought! 06.01.2022 What makes a good photographer we often ask. How can we get better as amateur or new photographers. Well here are some tips to make your images even better! Practice at Home. ... Practice makes perfect! Know Your Camera. ... You need to know your equipment.... Buy Books, Not New Gear. ... There is no point buying new equipment if you don't know how to use it. Understand Composition. ... Learn the basics. There are some great beginner books and YouTube tutorials that can assist in this. Make it About You. ... put your mark on it. Every photographer has a style. Look for Different Colors. ... Never be afraid to experiment and especially with colour! Take Advantage of the Golden Hour, Sunset. ... Even the newest photographers can capture the most breathtaking images at this time of day. Join the Nightlife - night time puts a new perspective on everything and will really allow you to learn about your shutters and aperture.
