25.01.2022 It was pretty crowded on the 9th tee this evening getting ready for the Kangaroo Caddy event tomorrow

24.01.2022 A perfectly-themed gift came in the mail today

23.01.2022 Golf Australia Magazine has published a lovely 3 page article on the Tarnagulla & District Golf Club in their December issue. It is a fantastic read detailing the club's resurgence in recent years. Many thanks to all of the club volunteers and supporters who have helped over the years. You are the reason for the club's success. Hope to see you out on the course soon.

21.01.2022 With Northcote, Sydney's Moore Park and previously Albert Park public golf courses under threat, it's good to see the golf industry finally getting on the front foot to mount a defence. We all know how great golf is for all ages and abilities, and how fortunate we are to have our course in our town! We hope that families in the cities can continue to be as lucky as we are.

16.01.2022 Tarnagulla: heart of the golden triangle, where you can find $350,000 worth of gold nuggets in a day, or pay $5 for a round of golf and maybe lose $35 worth of golf balls into the bush!

15.01.2022 Due to the revised Covid19 restrictions for regional Victoria, the board has had to cancel the Lucky 5 event on Sunday 23rd of August. However, the course is still open, so if you can please get out and play socially distant. Enjoy the course and we hope you are all doing well.

14.01.2022 A great turn out and sunny mid-winter conditions for this novel singles event: you get to use as many mulligans as your handicap allows over the 9 holes.

14.01.2022 Here is the report for the 'Kangaroo Caddy' thanks to Mary McNamee. G’day to Members, Friends, Families and Supporters; What a marvellous time we all had at the Kangaroo Caddy event! Such a lovely sunny day with blue skies for most of the day.... We had an excellent turnout of golfers and everyone spread out and started their round at an empty tee and at a time that suited them best. The re-do (or Mulligan) shots were wisely used and we all improved our scores. Ha. It felt so healthy, walking around the beautiful course in the fresh air and with no worries if we hit a poor shot. We ALL felt like Champions today - and my playing partners, Jenny and Peter joined me in a loud rendition of the song:We are the Champions! I know, we’re silly, but that’s a good way to be - what with everyone concerned about Covid 19 and how refreshing It was just to be having a really good relaxing time playing sport. Of course, there were no flags in the holes or sand scrapers around, but that didn’t bother us. We socially distanced everywhere and had so many laughs and jokes and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Here are the KANGAROO CADDY results: MEN: Winner: SEAN RADICH Runner-up: DAVE SHAY WOMEN: Winner: LYN WELLS Runner-up: MARY McNAMEE The next golf event is SUNDAY 23rd August 2020 and it is Lucky 5 Golf. You play nine holes and then later on, five numbers are drawn out at random, and those are the five holes we count. So, you can fluke it that those five holes were your sweetest holes - or not! Ha! We still count your handicap, so everyone has a chance. It’s lots of fun and you can play solo, in twos, threes or fours - whatever you’d like. Just start on an empty hole. Hit off is anytime after 11.30 a.m. - 2.00 p.m. and just pop your completed scorecard in the self-service box when you finish your round. Winners will be notified later. AND....... the RAFFLE will be back! Can I once again thank the wonderful volunteers who take such pride in the Course and do odd jobs here and there that they see could be done. Every bit helps. Thankyou. You’re all fabulous! Best wishes, Mary McNamee Secretary Tarnagulla & District Golf Club

14.01.2022 Of course, Tarna Golf Club should be included in the UNESCO list too, don’t you think?

09.01.2022 Want to have your say about the future of the Loddon Shire Council. The local council is conducting a survey to develop the community vision. This is a great opportunity to advocate for maintaining and growing our recreational community assets, like our great golf club, or anything else you may consider relevant. Below is a link, it takes about 5 minutes to complete.... https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LSCCVWebsite Cheers

08.01.2022 An excellent video about Llanelly and Tarnagulla’s history on BBC Reel. I wonder if the Welsh played golf here too?

06.01.2022 Congrats to tennis champ Ash Barty on winning a golf Club Championship. It is great to hear people refining different skills during Covid 19.

06.01.2022 Fun, somewhat frivolous and a little bit retro - take a look at all the colourful designs the club has used to advertise events, membership and more. All designs by Liam Radich.

04.01.2022 Winter rains have primed the course for kangaroos and players alike! Come and play 9 holes tomorrow at the Kangaroo Caddy event between 11:30-3:30 where you can replay as many shots as your handicap allows.

02.01.2022 The course is looking great. We're are so glad that some of our members, and the public, can make the most of it. Many thanks to the volunteers who have been maintaining the course.
