25.01.2022 This is a yearly event in the Banana Shire here at Taroom. Always an exciting day or weekend away. So if you love dressing up & going to the races what are you waiting for ? Pack your tent, camper-trailer, caravan and come'on up here as it's gonna be a great event. Not only that, there's plenty to see and do here in the Banana Shire. Go see the Sandstone Wonders- National Park, some beautiful gorges, go fishing in the Dawson River. Taroom is such a lovely little town with... very friendly people, they have the Bowls Club who do great meals there as well as the lovely staff who make you feel so welcome. Need somewhere to stay, come and stay at our Taroom Caravan and Tourist Park. We have cabins/units and plenty of sites available, all at great $$ prices. 09.01.2022 Christmas Ambrose done . We had a great roll up of 8 teams come out and brave the heat and play 9 holes on Sunday. Super hot day and some of our members thoug...ht it was a great idea to dress up as elves...in felt like material....on a 40 degree day (Weird, I know!) Winner for the day were those crazy elves! With second place going to Troy, Dan, Gavin and Blake. Pin shots went to Steve and Rocket. Raffle winners- Gavin won the ham and Christie M won the meat tray. Santa dropped in for a visit, delivered to us by our friendly Ambo officer. Thanks Lloyd and a big thanks to Santa! See more
