22.01.2022 Year 10 students celebrated last night with families and staff, the end of their schooling at Taroom State School. Mrs Dee Hay and Mrs Kelly Newton spent the afternoon with students and their families taking photographs. In the early evening, a beautiful meal was prepared and served at the Leichhardt Hotel and a magnificent Graduation chocolate mud cake, which was created by Mrs Naomi Roberts, was enjoyed for dessert by all. The tables were adorned with unique wooden vases pr...oduced by Mrs Nowell's IDT class and filled with dried flower arrangements to enhance the 'country bush feel' theme chosen by the students. Melinda's father Mr Shawn Sorrell, created a beautiful wooden inscribed plaque with the students' faces adorned to celebrate the special event. After a few formal presentations by Mrs Karen Wolski, Mrs Margie MacLachlan and Mrs Dee Hay, Kyle, Bree and Melinda spiced up the evening with several quiz games to test how well their teachers actually knew them. Luckily, the teachers won. Thank you to Mrs Dee Hay for co-ordinating the 2020 Graduation evening. We wish Kyle, Bree and Melinda all the best as they take the next step in their learning and working lives. See more
