22.01.2022 Hello Sunday The wheel turns again and the world is somewhat difficult place to get one's head around. We're finding this a very contemplative time... and decided, after today, the business will close again... even without the further lockdown orders being made definate, we thought it right. We can work from home online... and continue to offer this service, along with requests for stock items that we can post to you. Basically we feel we should not have to play copper to... errant people... not have to ask people for their postcode evidence, when they know full well, they should not be travelling. Yes... we have to pay our way in the world like any other, but we will not encourage the breaches that are causing the virus to spread by being available in the flesh, so to speak. Chances are, by next Wednesday the new restrictions would see us close again anyway. Now It's Imbolc, seed/seedling planting time and we wish all our clients and friends a peaceful transition toward spring. It's sun-soak-up time. Bread baking time... painting and writing time... finishing projects time and time to get our heads around what this all means for the whole of society. We're not withdrawing... just stepping back from all the shocking hype and ill-advised info circulating while remaining available to you via phone or zoom for your consultations. 07.01.2022 So folks this happened but contra to gossip... It's the building that we sold not our business. We decided that, to focus on our core businesses... reading, teaching, @davidreillytarotreader art and poetry, @beyondthegategallery ...we no longer needed the daily work of a retail outlet and so we will be moving, said core work, to a different location, to be revealed soon. David will be available by phone or zoom after we "leave the building" and from a location in town to... be named shortly and my work will be available directly from myself or from my website. We remain at your service until a week or so before settlement in early December and will be announcing a huge stock and fittings sale in the next day or two. 07.01.2022 Slowly 107 Vincent Street, reading rooms, shop and gallery are emptying out. Just a couple of shelving units, a table or two and a lovely chest of draws, still for sale, to go. Everything else sold... surprisingly fast, I might add. Remainder book and tarot/oracle deck, stock is very light on now (30% sale happening) and just a couple of weeks to go before the new journey begins. Almost done with art packaging, in the gallery, readying for storage... it's real, it's happening... and we are more than ready for the transition. We purchased a container for storage and kept back shelving units for studios and gallery. The grunt work began yesterday, transporting them home and re-installing them... David being the "grunt" worker, here. 01.01.2022 Yesterday, saw the stripping back of more shelving and reduced price stock. Not much longer and then David and I will be out of 107 Vincent Street and working from our home studios... eventually, we will both be teaching again and look forward to welcoming new faces and previous students, out to Beyond the Gate Farm. This lovely wee cottage, pictured here, will be David's new hideout when renovations are completed, nestled in our sycamore grove... until then you have a very l...imited amount of time for a face to face reading with the "Master Reader," in Daylesford... just three weeks and we're gone... after that he will be available for phone and zoom readings for a while until our reopening. My gallery, studio and our shared, workshop space will be in an old dairy building that we will be renovating soon.
