17.01.2022 2020 has brought a lot of fear in people's lives. Commissioners Janine and Robert Donaldson remind us of God's instruction: "Don't be afraid."

16.01.2022 Inspired by the Founder of The Salvation Army's famous rallying call, this is a new reimagining of 'I'll Fight' for 2020. William and Catherine Booth fought tirelessly for justice and for God's will to be done. Will you?

16.01.2022 For almost 6 months we have experienced Church on ZOOM, a great option but not as good as all getting together. How exciting, we did get together in the playground for Church this week. Over 30 people enjoyed seeing each other once again, brought their own morning tea, enjoyed a great message from Lt Alice, didn't even mind that Maj Robyn still had her slippers on (not a problem on Zoom), but were a little sad we couldn't sing! A great morning together.

15.01.2022 Sausages & Mash with a few added vegies is one of the favourite meals to cook and eat in Kids in the Kitchen! Robyn does well keeping the kids entertained with the devotional segment with all sorts of interesting things to share. Even the cleaning up & washing the dishes is a fun time together!! So happy because we are going to finish the course, only one group for this year!

06.01.2022 Our Salvos Kids in the Kitchen cooking classes came to an abrupt end due to Covid! We haven't been able to get together again so packs were given out over the weekend with all the ingredients to make hamburgers. How exciting it was to get lovely messages of thanks and photos to show the results of their hard work. The consensus was 'they were delicious'.

06.01.2022 What an exciting afternoon we had with our Kids in the Kitchen cooking class. After a 7 month break in our program we are back to finish the last 4 classes. It wasn't just the kids who were excited but all the leaders were so pleased to see the young cooks back in the kitchen. Happy parents as well.

05.01.2022 May you be given the gift of noticing: the beauty around you, the colour of a flower, the whisper of the wind; the light of the fading sun. May you see the gift of today rather than longing for tomorrow and may you breathe in the Spirit of Life with every breath #niteblessing

03.01.2022 As our response to the bushfires continues, this week we announced that we’ve entered a new initiative with the NSW Government (Resilience NSW) & Minderoo Foundation to provide temporary housing to bushfire affected families. The temporary housing ‘pods’ feature built-in electricity, water & sewer systems, allowing families to stay on their properties whilst they rebuild their homes, and lives, after the fires. We are providing ongoing support for thousands including the re...sidents of 2,475 houses destroyed. We know those who lost their homes will face a particularly hard road to recovery and that having the stability of a Recovery Pod will make the journey more manageable, says The Salvation Army’s Secretary for Mission, Lieutenant Colonel Lyn Edge. If you or someone you know were impacted by the 2019-2020 bushfires, you can continue to call us on 1300 662 217 or email [email protected] You can see images of one of the pods below To learn more, go to: http://ow.ly/m0SV50Ahf4Y See more
