03.06.2022 New year, new me... SMART goals... new years resolutions.. I'm sure these things have crossed your mind the past few days. The fact is, you're more likely to give up on your goals by the end of January than achieve them... not because you're lazy, didn't plan properly or aren't capable, but because of your MINDSET! Approaching 2022 with a strong and aligned mindset will be a game changer for your goals! Below are some alternative questions you can consider when thinking about... your goals: Do you feel truly aligned with your goals and vision? Are you fully connected to WHY this is important to you and the consequences of not achieving these goals? Is your integrity aligned with your goals? Are you connected to the person you need to be to achieve your goals? Do you actually believe you can make these changes and believe in yourself? Do you trust yourself and your word? If you answered no to any of these questions (or don't even know what I'm talking about!) it's time to change your approach. If you've been setting the same goals year after year and not getting anywhere, it's time to try something different. It's time to make IDENTITY based goals! The strongest and most effortless way to create long lasting change in your life If you're interested to know more about creating aligned goals for 2022 and actually achieving them, see the link in my profile for my Mindset Workshop next Sunday 16th January! This is about developing a new mindset, a new identity and a new level of emotional strength to attach to your goals!

25.01.2022 Show up for yourself. Every. Damn. Day Something I live by and ask myself is "Am I a woman of my word?" Do I walk the talk?... Do I follow through on my promises to others but most importantly, to myself. Am I consistent? Because consistency is King or Queen . As @the.holistic.psychologist put it so eloquently, "No one betrays us as much as we betray ourselves" So in times when I feel 'off' and when I'm not hitting my goals, I ask myself these questions. Am I showing up for myself, am I being consistent and am I being true to my word and my promises to my self? And if the answer is no, then I know what to do. Show up for myself. Be consistent. Every day. In some small way. Because one small thing every day will add up and get you to where you want I'd love to know how you show up for yourself and your goals everyday? .
24.01.2022 Came across this today on @brookevulinovich stories and damnnnnn it's a good one! Right in the feeeeelz Self belief is a game changer. Belief in your strength, in your abilities, in who you are... effects everything in your life.... No one can give it to you. You have to see it, feel it, know it, for yourself The root of most problems is self doubt. It is a feeling of not being good enough. You feel like you are lacking in one thing (or many) and if you could just find that elusive thing and have it, everything would be ok. The funny thing is though, you already have it! You just can't see it under all the limiting beliefs, negative emotions and stories you're telling yourself. This is why we put in the work Pay attention to your thoughts, your words, how you speak to yourself, your actions, your behavious and start to question them and change them. Put in the work on your mental health and self work on your mindset and the answers will be waiting for you It's why I love the work I do with the women I work with. Because when we shift what was holding them back, they can clearly see and feel just how incredible they are, how strong they are and how capable they are. And suddenly they just know. They believe in themselves Hands up below if your self belief is strong and thriving Or if you need a little work, comment what are you going to change to see it? . #Belief #SelfBelief #SelfHealers
22.01.2022 Grainy but you get the picture Bali mini break = . My 20s were alllll about that hustle. To the point where it impacted my health negatively. Now, my 30s is all about finding balance. Still hustling, but more effectively, and then planning down time and knowing when and how to switch off. To actually have days off, to have holidays and to spend that down time wisely with loved ones and be TRULY present.... Looking forward to getting back to the hustle tomorrow with my OPUS crew #Hustle #Balance #OPUS
22.01.2022 This theme has come up a lot recently with both my PT and coaching clients... Comparison. Comparison to others careers, achievements, health, relationships and life in general So just a friendly reminder that comparison DOES NOT serve you. You are exactly where you need to be in your life right now. Your journey is not someone else's and neither should you want it to be And if you have to compare yourself to anyone... it should be the you of yesterday, of last month, of 1 yea...r ago. Because I bet when you take a moment to look back, you'll realise that you've come farther than you thought. So take a moment, see how you've already changed and that you are exactly where you need to be on your path to keep changing and chasing what you want #ComparisonIsTheThiefOfJoy #FocusOnYou See more
20.01.2022 What does being HEALTHY mean to you? With all the (mis)information out there in the health and fitness industry, defining what is healthy can be a minefield. The Department of Health Australia defines it as "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Health has physical, mental, social and psychological dimensions and provides the capacity to withstand challenges and to accomplish life's activities with pleas...ure and energy" Word . Being healthy has become synonymous with going to the gym, eating 'clean', being slim and looking a certain way. But it is so much more than that and it's time we started conversations that encourage us to think beyond the norm. Being healthy to me means feeling energetic. It is happiness. Vitality. Being strong, physically AND mentally. Nourishing my body with food for energy and pleasure. It is meaningful relationships. Being healthy is more than just your outward physical appearance. Being truly healthy, both physically and mentally, comes from the inside. Health shouldn't be restrictive. It isn't an all out effort for 4 or 8 weeks to reach a goal. It's a lifetime attainment and a balance. Your health is an investment in your happiness and your future, not an expense. Health is wealth I'd love to know... what does being healthy mean to you and what do you do on a daily basis to support your version of health? Comment below! . #HealthIsWealth #Health #Energy

18.01.2022 It isn't what or how much you know, it's what you do with that knowledge that makes a difference. Most people already know exactly what they need to do to make a change in their life, but aren't applying it and taking action. Ask yourself why not? ... What are you pretending not to know, in order to make a change in your life, now? The mind is your most powerful tool to discover why you do or don't do, everything that you do. Day 5 of NLP Master Prac done and I'm excited to act on everything I'm learning, not only for myself but also my clients. If you're frustrated by your inaction towards your goals and want help undersranding why, reach out #NLP #Action #Knowledge
18.01.2022 Tune in tomorrow! Very grateful to have been interviewed by Ash from @fusionbizbabes for @bossmoderadio and share my message of the importance of both physical and emotional health for wellbeing as well as the high and lows of being a business owner! We spoke a lot about limiting beliefs and how they hold us back from achieving our dreams and goals. Plus I shared some easy tips on how to get started on challenging your own limiting beliefs ... One of the most rewarding parts of the work I do with my coaching clients is reading back to them at the end of our sessions, the negative & limiting beliefs they first held when they came to see me and how much has changed for them. When you can let go of what is holding you back, you feel lighter, more confident and know that anything is possible... it is truly transformative Listen to it tomorrow at 2pm AWST, Thursday 5pm or Friday 10am at www.bossmoderadio.com.au and let me know your thoughts and what limiting beliefs you need to let go of once and for all!
17.01.2022 Mindset Matters Simply put, mindset is a way of thinking. Your thoughts become your words Your words become your actions... Your actions become your habits Your habits become your experiences Your experiences become your life Mindset Matters My passion is helping women change their circumstances and their life through changing their mindset. To help women become more aware and conscious in order to make effective and lasting change. To show up for themselves daily and to take ownership over their mindset and therefore their life. Mindset Matters If you're struggling through something right now, know that it can and will change. All change starts in the mind so if you don't have any mindset practices, now is a good time to start! Journalling, gratitude, self care, movement, focused breathing, questioning your thoughts, leaning in to emotions rather than masking, are all good places to start I'd love to know, what do you do for your mindset? 15.01.2022 When you find your purpose and are doing what you love, it's a pretty epic feeling Whether it's on the gym floor, hosting a workshop or working 1:1 in a coaching setting, helping women find and work on their physical and mental strength is what brings me fulfillment in my career. Not to mention connecting with other people with similar goals, next level passion and getting to work alongside them. Throwback to the other week with @hohperth ... belly laughs, connection and p...urpose . #Coach #Purpose #Connection
14.01.2022 If you do not make time for your WELLNESS, you will be forced to make time for your illness. READ THAT AGAIN. Too often, clients come to me at the end point. When they are sick, unhealthy, injured, overwhelmed, stressed... they are unwell.... We live in an increasingly fast paced and switched on world which values busyness and always "being on" and available. Doing more, having more and being more. But at what cost? If you do not make time for your WELLNESS, you will be forced to make time for your illness. Wellness can mean different things for everybody so I encourage you to find what wellness means to you and how it looks on you To me, wellness is being happy, healthy, energetic and connected to my friends, family, work and self. I do this through training 4-5 times a week, eating to nourish my body, drinking minimum 3L water a day, minimum 7hrs sleep a night, spending time outside every day, connecting with friends/family every day, reading books to expand my mind, laughing every day, watching my thoughts and cultivating a positive mindset I'm also more than happy to invest whatever it takes to achieve this wellness. Time, money... whatever it takes. Because I know which side of the wellness to illness yard stick I want to be on and that it's worth the investment What is your wellness (or illness) worth to you? #InvestInYourSelf #Wellness #Health
13.01.2022 ARE YOU A WOMAN OF YOUR WORD? Breaking your word to yourself is one of the most common ways to erode your self esteem and confidence. Not being able to follow through on your own promises will eradicate your belief in yourself unconsciously.... More often than not, the women who come to me for personal training or mindset coaching are at the end of their tether. They feel like they've tried everything - every workout, every diet, read every self help book but still haven't got the results they're looking for. And even as they talk about their goals, I can see that they don't even truly believe they can get the results they're after... there is a small shadow of doubt. Because the trust has been broken. Because they promised to get up early and train, but didn't. And they said they'd meditate for 5 mins every day, but didn't. And it might sound small and insignificant but the small things can impact the big things. Because they promised to stand up and have their voice heard at a work meeting, but didn't. Or they said they'd break off from that relationship, but they stayed. You see, when you break the promise to yourself, you break the internal trust and you tank your confidence. The point of this message is that you can rebuild your self trust. Set small goals to start and follow through with those. Build daily habits in to your life and commit to those. SHOW UP FOR YOURSELF. Because every small step is proof that you can. And those small steps mount up until the evidence shows that you can trust yourself. That you can do it THAT YOU ARE A WOMAN OF YOUR WORD Comment below how you are showing up for yourself and your goals daily, I'd love to know
13.01.2022 Hey Stop mindlessly scrolling for a sec Thanks R U OK? R U OK day is an amazing initiative. We live in a fast paced world of hustle, success, showing our best self to the world... a world where sometimes we don't have the time to stop and ask ourselves - R U OK? - let alone anyone else... It's important because it starts the conversation. It allows space for someone to be truly heard But on this day, when we're encouraged to ask others the question, I encourage you to first stop and truly ask yourself the question - Am I ok? And in that moment, stop, breathe and listen . (Kind of like putting on your own breathing mask before your child's on a plane ) . Because I believe, for many in this fast paced world, that we have lost the ability to tune in with ourselves and lost the connection with how and what we're feeling. We push on through, thinking that what we're feeling is normal... when it's not I truly believe that all change begins with the individual and acknowledging you are not ok, need help and want to change is the first step. And with that awareness, when someone asks you R U OK, you are more likely to have the awareness and to answer honestly, knowing that you do need help and want help So before you ask someone else today or any day, check in with yourself too, because you deserve to be asked R U OK #RUOK #RUOKDay #MentalHealth
13.01.2022 Reminiscing over Africa and one of the biggest lessons I learnt from the people I met there was how to be truly grateful And how much being grateful, and truly practicing it, made an impact on one's happiness and mental health. For something to change in your life, one of two things has to happen... 1. Your life changes or 2. YOU DO Now yes there are ways your life can change but the quicker solution is for YOU to change. Change how you see your problems = change how you see your life = change how you experience your life Practicing gratitude for what you already have vs. having an attitude about everything you don't, will drastically change how you experience day to day life. You are puposefully examining all that is good in your life and therefore choosing not to focus on what is absent and lacking I won't bore you with all the research but needless to say, the benefits on your psychological and physical health from practicing gratitude are well documented. There is more than 1 way to practice gratitude so here is a couple to get you started: Keep a gratitide journal and write down every morning or night what or who you are grateful for Verbally tell the people in your life what you're grateful for or that you're grateful for them Say thank you and mean it Today I'm grateful for the people in my life who support me, who love me and are always there for me no matter what I'd love to know, who or what are you grateful for today?
12.01.2022 In fact, I'd say it's imperative that you do! Too often with both my PT and Coaching clients I see a lot of guilt, shame, embarrassment, self hate, self loathing, restriction and comparison that is keeping them stuck where they are. If we only focus on the negatives, it's hard to see our way out or set the scene to grow in to the person we want to be.... We need to show ourselves kindness, appreciation and love for all that we do and who we are, if we are to blossom and grow. So if this resonates with you, give yourself permission to love where you're at and see yourself in a new light with fresh eyes for all that you already are. It's ok to love your body as it is, whilst still working on your health It's ok to love the person you are, whilst working on your 'flaws' and weaknesses It's ok to love where you're at in life, whilst working towards your biggest goals and dreams Love who you are and learn to love the journey as you grow in to your highest self. I promise it will be easier if you can see yourself with kinder eyes #Love #LoveYourDamnSelf
10.01.2022 When you know you aren't alone, when you realise you aren't the only one dealing with issues, a glimmer of hope shines through And that's the reason I love running small group PT sessions and group workshops on mindset. When I talk to people a common theme is feeling alone with their problems. Feeling that no one else could possibly understand. Or that there's something wrong with them and they feel like an outcast. And it can be challenging and hard to put your hand up to... acknowledge you need help, but oh so worth it . My workshops show people that they aren't alone. That the common human experience is felt by all and when you chuck your hat in the ring to better yourself, alongside others, that hope is infectious and that change IS possible And I love that despite running workshops with 15-20 people, I can still give one-to-one attention if needed so you can have your voice heard, acknowledged and leave with the information you need to help you in your daily life. So if you feel alone right now, I want you to know that you're not. Reach out and ask for help and you will find it. My next Mindset Matters workshop is on Thursday 15th August so if you are looking to change your outlook, change your mindset and change your life, this is the start See the link in my events page for tickets and get yours before they sell out!

08.01.2022 Still on a high from last night's workshop. Thanks to @hohperth for inviting me to help out and speak about goal setting and mindset Last night was a good reminder that even though I live and breathe mindset practices, mindfulness and goal alignment in my work and own daily life, doesn't mean other people do. This was the first time that many of the women who attended last night had given themselves time, space and the opportunity to think about what they want in their life a...nd goals. It was uncomfortable for some to ask "What do I truly want" when they'd never done so in the past. It can be uncomfortable and confronting to realise that what you want isn't what you have and scary to think about what it takes to get there and the courage needed to step up and do so. It was inspiring for both Steph @hohperth and I to see these women's goals come to life on their vision boards and allow them the space to #dreambig It's never too late to ask yourself what makes you truly happy and to go about creating your life in that vision If you're having trouble envisioning what you truly want and what your future looks like, get in contact, I'd be happy to help #Goals #VisionBoard #Mindfulness
07.01.2022 One more week til I bring back my story telling hands! . Beyond excited to be hosting my previously sold out Highjack Your Mindset workshop, next Thursday 15th August. I promise there'll be some knowledge dropped, minds expanded, new levels of self awareness reached plus raw honest story telling of my own about my journey through overcoming stress, anxiety, overwhelm and self doubt ... My favourite part of hosting workshops like these is how one word, one sentence or one question, can completely reshape someone's beliefs about their problems and their life. All I ask of the people who attend is they show up for themselves with an open mind and a desire to change Reach out if you're interested to learn more or come along, see the events section on my page #Mindset #MindsetMatters #HighjackYourMindset @ Warehouse16
07.01.2022 When you blame others you give up your power to change . Sometimes its easier to blame others for things that go wrong in our lives or dole out excuses for why we havent reached our goals, then to admit to ourselves how we let it happen and that we could have done better. I challenge all my clients to truly ask themselves, as I ask myself every week, are you at CAUSE with your goals or are you at EFFECT?... Being at CAUSE with your life means you take full ownership! You know that you control everything that happens to you and for you. You are in charge. You are accountable for everything. When things dont go as planned, you take ownership, acknowledge what you need to do better, and then do it. When you are at EFFECT, everything happens to you; you believe you have no control. You blame others for everything that goes wrong, you have all the excuses and you are in denial about your own ability to control your life. On the effect side, you are a victim to circumstances. You wait and hope that things will get better. Being at CAUSE in your life is empowering On the cause side of life, you know that you are in control, that you can have effect on things and that you can make anything happen. You find solutions to your own problems. I know what it's like to be on both sides because I lived in EFFECT for years. I was a victim and I played it well! I blamed others for my lack of success, had so many reasons and excuses... not realizing that the only person holding me back from the success I wanted, was ME! And I tell you, it was a pretty shitty place to be. I much prefer to be on the CAUSE side of life On the cause side of life, things get done just how I want them to and if they aren't going to plan, I acknowledge, take ownership, pivot and change. So just as I encourage my clients to ask themselves if they are at CAUSE or EFFECT with their life, I encourage you to ask yourself. In all areas of life fitness, nutrition, mental health, career, relationships, finances - are you at cause or effect? And if you're at effect, what do you need to acknowledge and change, to step up and be at cause? Comment below, I'd love to know
06.01.2022 Change... It's hard. It can be uncomfortable. It challenges you. It's a deviation away from what you consistenly do, what you are physically and psychologically used to. Change is about becoming conscious. It is about becoming self-aware so you can see and then break your own patterns Making changes in your life requires you to make a categorical decision that an old pattern or behaviour isn't serving you. It is finding your true reason or 'WHY' for the new change you want ...to inplement. And then you must build a new identity around becoming that person. Change is hard but it's also where the magic happens. As the saying going, if nothing changes... nothing changes. There is 1 person in your life holding you back from where you want to be and it's the same person who has the capabilty to push you to where you want to be... YOU. I've learnt this myself over the years and know that once you take full ownership and accountability for your thoughts, actions and life, change is a whole lot easier If you're reading this and it hits home, you probably already know what changes you need to make, you just haven't stepped up to the plate yet. I'd love to hear though... what changes are you currently making or what change do you know you need to make, to be the person you want to be? #Change #Ownership #Accountability
06.01.2022 Motivation will only get you so far. Discipline and action is what gets results. Too often we rely on motivation to spur us in to action... which is exactly why most people don't achieve their goals. Instead:... *Build discipline *Action above all else *Committment to the process *Believe in yourself and your abilities The only way to get what you want is to work for it. To show up everyday for yourself, leave the excuses at the door and put the effort in. Be a woman or man of your word #Action #Discipline #Committment
06.01.2022 Who is in your crew? Today I was reminded more than ever why I do what I do. Why I am so passionate about offerring a space for women to come together, to support each other and have fun whilst doing it. Training in a gym environment for many women can be incredibly scary and intimidating.... There may be: Body image issues Lack of confidence Doubt about abilities Doubt about capability to achieve Self conscious thoughts Comparison to others Fear of failure Fear of embarrassment ... to name a few I know because I've been there. I remember when I first started training in a commercial gym how nervous I was, how I thought everyone was looking at me and how I absolutely did not know what I was doing! And that's why I have OPUS . As it was back in Sydney to what it now is in Perth, the emphasis is still the same... to help women find their STRENGTH, both physically and mentally and to do so surrounded by the support of like minded women . So ask yourself, who is in your crew? Do they have your back and believe in you? If not, I've always got room for more in mine . #OPUS #OPUSWomen #Crew
05.01.2022 What have you been putting off to do until 'someday'? When the conditions are perfect? When you are ready? Despite what you think, you will never be ready. There is no better time to do it then right NOW. NOW is the time to look after your body and start moving & training .... NOW is the time to look after your health by changing your diet to nourish you and give you energy . NOW is the time to assess your mental and emotional health, ask for help if needed or put the effort in to change your thoughts and emotions Any day is a good day to start. You just have to start and stop waiting for someday, because it won't come. And if you wait for someday, you'll probably regret it So, what do you want to start doing NOW to change your life for the better? . #JustDoIt #TheTimeIsNow
04.01.2022 Throwback to that time I asked 40 women to stand tall, with confidence and step in to their strength... pretty damn powerful In 2016 I held a handful of Female Strength Workshops and was incredibly passionate about spreading a message on the importance of physical and mental strength for women. And in 2017, OPUS Fitness was born, a studio built for women to achieve their health and fitness goals in a supportive, non-judgemental environment But somewhere along the way I let ...the naysayers get in my ear questioning why I was only focusing on women and that I shouldn't so passionately advocate the topics of strength and empowerment. And I forgot who I was doing it for.. my female clients. Those same clients who were telling me how much they loved these workshops, who valued my help as a coach to help them feel strong, confident and empowered and how @opusfit had made such a positive impact on their lives So for those wondering why I am so passionate about female strength and empowerment... it's because every day I meet women who have lost their confidence, lost their strength or don't even know they have it, lost their drive and focus, not to mention those with anxiety and depression who feel stuck and helpless. And through spreading a message of the value of strength, the importance of movement and allowing a space for women to be vulnerable about their emotional health, I get the pleasure of helping countless women step in to their power... and it's incredible to witness . So long story short, I'll be hosting more Female Strength & Empowerment Workshops to help women find their strength; starting January 2019 so watch this space #Strength #StrongWomen

03.01.2022 It's almost that time again where I get free reign to wave my hands around and talk about a topic I'm super passionate about My 'Mindset Matters' workshop is on this Sunday, 9th June at 930am Despite sitting a little more on the introverted than extroverted scale, I absolutely love public speaking and presenting! I get such energy and joy from spending a few hours with like minded people who are keen to learn, grow and expand themselves and their life. The buzz and energy... from an intimate workshop like this, will have me on a high all week and I guarantee you'll feel the same This workshop will be an introduction to Mindset and how you can highjack yours to serve you, rather than hurt you. 03.01.2022 Just start. Start anytime, anywhere I talk with my clients a lot about how consistent small steps and actions bring about change. It is not enough to want something, it is not enough to say you'll do something, you must act upon it Every action, every small step, is a deposit towards achieving long term goals. It is a deposit in your self of what you are capable of doing and a reservoir of achievements to look back on when you need the extra push to keep going... Action always beats intention. So act today. One small act. Then another tomorrow. And another the day after. And before you know it, each of those small actions will have led you to where you want to be A lot of people assume they need motivation first and then action follows. But I believe action is the key. Because action spurs you on and provides you with the motivation to keep going. And if you dont know where to start, it doesn't actually matter. Just start. Because that's one step closer than you were yesterday So when you break it down like that, your big scary goal doesn't seem so big anymore Start. Act. Be consistent. #Action #SmallSteps #Consistency #JustDoIt
02.01.2022 Didn't feel like it.... Did it anyway After an average night's sleep and a busy day, I wasnt feeling particularly "motivated" to train, but I did. And that's why I rely on discipline and not the all elusive "motivation" to keep me on track with training.... Building discipline takes time but it pays off in the long run. Motivation on the other hand, is fleeting. The other part of discipline is having a big WHY and linking your goal/behaviour to your values and identity. For me, part of my identity is that I am a healthy, fit and strong woman. So naturally, I want to do the things that support that vision of me. Therefore, training becomes a priority even when I don't feel 100% "motivated". So, if you're struggling with "motivation" ask yourself WHY you're doing something, WHY it's so important to you and link it to your highest values. Results will follow If you're unsure how to do this and have a big goal you're struggling with (personal/career/health related) get in touch and I'll see how I can help #Discipline #Committment #Goals
01.01.2022 Hey Stop mindlessly scrolling for a sec Thanks R U OK?
01.01.2022 Proud coach watching my female clients strength grow, not to mention their confidence, week by week Week 7 of the Female Strength Project (small group classes of 4 women focusing on learning the fundamentals of strength training) and we have progressed in the last few weeks to barbell training. When we first started, most of the women hadn't done any strength training or had done minimal strength work with no guidance or understanding. Most were wasting away their gym time ...on the treadmills or cross trainers There's definitely a time and place for conditioning work but all women (and men) need to have resistance training in their gym routine. It's been an eye opener working in a commercial gym for the first time after only working in private studios and to see many women confused and unsure about how to train properly for their goals It's my mission to get as many women out on to the weights room floor, learning to love strength training and in the process, love their bodies #OPUS #Strength #BuildingStrongWomem
