Mr Vinar says he's "certain" it was a great white shark, around 3-and-a-half to 4 metres long. It's the second shark encounter in Tasmania in recent weeks, with a 10-year-old boy pulled into the water by a shark near Stanley in the state's north west 12 days ago. : James Vinar
