24.01.2022 Our signage sponsor Think Big Printing have been working alongside Erebus Motorsport on a project called the e-Aerosol box for safer medical treatment of critical patients during the COVID-19 crisis. The e-Aerosol Box is already being trialled at two Melbourne hospitals and are rolling out to Tasmania with production by Think Big. It just goes to show the talent we have available here in Australia and our own region to swing in to action when needed.

24.01.2022 Last but not least, the fourth and final featured artist of the 2020 Tasmanian Craft Fair: McLachlan Studio McLachlan studio founders, Hugh and Mary, moved to Tasmania in 1980 after studying Gold & Silversmithing at RMIT, Melbourne. McLachlan Studio was established that year on their beautiful rural property on the banks of the Meander River just outside Deloraine. ... Their jewellery, sculpture and paintings are featured in both private and public collections, including the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra. Their creations have also been selected for major exhibitions and events within Australia and overseas. Were thrilled to have Hugh and Mary join us as featured artist for the 40th annual #TasCraftFair

Over many years, weve worked to integrate a tonne of artisans from Tasmanian and abroad to showcase a wide range of crafts, fudge-making included! We loved having The Fudge Factory at the 2019 Fair and even better, witnessing raised eyebrows and smiles upon the first bite!

01.01.2022 Introducing the second of the 2020 Tasmanian Craft Fair Featured Artists: Neil Hoffmann Neil has worked with clay and fire for over thirty years and began his journey as an artist making gas-fired tableware. Now, he fires wood burning kilns for the making of both sculpture and tableware. ... Some of Neils achievements include: In 2001, he was awarded a MFAD from the University of Tasmania. Between 1996 and 2001, he convened the Claydown Tasmania Summer School programs at his Reedy Marsh Pottery. In 2009, the National gallery purchased his work for their collection in Canberra. His work has been represented in the gallery ever since. In 2011, he convened the international Wood fire Tasmania event centred in his hometown, Deloraine.
