23.01.2022 We have tested different brands of pellets over the last couple of winters, before each test our heater has been cleaned and it is ran on (1) low for 1 x 15 kg bag of pellets. It may not be a lab test but it is real world in a everyday Pellet Heater. = (NSFP Tasmanian Hardwood Pellets made this year)- ... TEST UNDERWAY = (Eco Pellets-tasmanian plantation hardwood) - TEST TO FOLLOW We’ve tested NSFP Pellets when the mill was first commissioned. One of our customers provided a test bag of Eco Pellets to trial. Photo 1 = Some previous pellet tests Photo 2 - NSFP 1 litre pellets = 685 grams Photo 3- Eco 1 litre pellets = 689 grams Photo 4 = Hardness Test Photo 5 = NSFP 15 kg Hopper Full Photo 6 = Air temp at heater outlet to room - 126.9 deg celsius

23.01.2022 So results are in on the latest two tests we conducted on NSFP and ECO Pellets both 15 kg bags. Both bags were burnt in our Italian Piazzetta Pellet Heater. Heater setting- Pellet feed 1 and Fan speed 1. ... Run time both around 16 hours. With regular temperature heat output checks- NSFP 124- 127 deg celsius. ECO 108-114 deg celsius. NSFP PELLET ash weight was 11 grams. ECO PELLET ash weight was 120 grams and showed several clinkers which isn’t good for running your heater as they block up your burn pot which equates to poor heater performance. We are not promoting either brand of pellet and we realise prices are different. We urge people to perform their own tests to find the best pellet for their circumstances.
