24.01.2022 Do you a science teacher you could nominate??

19.01.2022 Another week, another amazing experience for Hagley students! Our Planting Leaders, who last term trained with Herbert Staubmann from Habitat Plants got the opp...ortunity to assist planting our new demonstration plantation. As well as highlighting tree plantations and different pruning methods for our students and visitors, the plantation will also provide a wind break for our school playground over time. HUGE THANKS to Kathryn Cresswell; NE Plantation Forester and her crew from Forico, as well as Darcy Vickers from Forest Education Foundation. Thanks also to Mr Tyson for his help on the day! https://forico.com.au/ https://www.forest-education.com/ See more

14.01.2022 Coinciding with national #SeaWeek (an event of the Australian Association for Environmental Education), we had a very special evening session at the marine disc...overy centre with the North West Bay cubs last night. They are the first group to visit us and deploy a special new teaching resource in the dark! We are a recipient of the Federal Government’s Local Schools Community Fund and one of our new pieces of equipment is the FiFish 6 Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV). Primary school students can send this ‘underwater drone’ directly out the doors of our classroom! Today the Hon Julie Collins MP, who approved our grant application, toured the facility to see our new purchases, and quickly mastered the controls. The ROV is incredibly tricky to drive at first, but check out the video of a young cub skillfully piloting within seconds at the helm. #Southernoceansubsea #underwateraustralasia #juliecollinsmp #AustralianAssociationForEnvironmentalEducationInc See more
