25.01.2022 So many of us are searching for sense through all this darkness and uncertainty. With isolation having an effect on anxiety, I want you to know that I am here for you. We may each be only one set of hands, but collectively we can make a big difference to each other. How? Reach out to loved ones that may be struggling with isolation.... Video chat with family and friends you cant see in person. Choose Gratitude over Fear - even in these times of despair there is always something to be grateful for. Practice self care daily - journal, meditate, yoga, exercise. We cant help others with an empty battery. Life as we know it may be barely recognisable right now, but we can collectively reach out and support each other. Please remember youre not alone, I am here.. Love Tash See more

24.01.2022 Amazing advice!

23.01.2022 Sometimes lifes going to pull you down, and when the dust settles, it feels like you can barely recognise the woman staring back at you in the mirror. Finding your way back and rediscovering yourself again can seem like a long and isolating road. This was exactly how I felt when building back my inner strength one layer at a time after my burnout (or as Bren Brown calls it my transformation) ... Im here to support and walk beside you as you navigate your new reality and find YOU again. I know reaching out can feel too hard, so if youre not ready yet, I promise to be here and show up for you when you are. Love Tash

22.01.2022 For those currently working from home.... whats driving you CRAZY right now?

20.01.2022 Im so proud to be an accredited Mental Health First Aider. I truely believe raising awareness through education can help to reduce the stigma of mental health. Mental illness is often a lonely and isolating experience. As we spend more time at work than we do at home, having employees trained to recognise potential signs and how to start these difficult conversations really can save lives. ... Helping one person may not change the whole world, but it may change the world for that person Why not stand up and be that change? If youre a business owner please consider taking this course for yourself and your employees. (They even offer it online)

20.01.2022 As a former Accountant and Finance Manager, I know how hard it can be to balance work and home life, and how easy it is to sacrifice time with loved ones and your own wellbeing in order to get ahead in your career. Im currently creating content and Id love to connect and hear your thoughts

19.01.2022 One of the techniques I use to bring myself out of an anxiety spin is to keep a list of what brings me joy. As the mind does not play the rational game in the middle of a spin, Ive found it helps to write these down and keep in an easy to reach place, rather then trying to rely on memory. If you are finding yourself in a heightened anxiety state during this time, youre not alone! Lets start your list now, and comment with one thing today that brings you joy.... Please remember I am here if you need to chat. Love Tash

17.01.2022 Happy Sunday! As a work/life balance coach, I give my clients recommended reading lists to help support their growth A few of you have asked for a list of books to help with anxiety levels at this time.... So here is a list of my absolute favourites! Id love to hear your thoughts, or book suggestions in the comments below! Having experienced anxiety my entire adult life, which ultimately lead to a huge work related burnout, I know what its like to put on a face for the rest of the world, while feeling shattered on the inside. My coping mechanism was work, I had no time for family, no friends outside work. And no idea who I was, or what I even liked to do. Then, after 20 years of working at a capacity of 200% at all times, my body finally gave up and I was no longer able to work in the position that my entire identity was wrapped up in. This was a shock to everyone around me (even myself) as I had cleverly hidden the signs until it was too late. I was 40, and had no way to cope with the flood of emotions that I had used work to avoid. I had to start from scratch, and build myself back up through increasing my self worth and creating new connections and honouring my personal and professional boundaries. For that reason, Im more passionate then ever about supporting you all to avoid the mental health effects that isolation and work related demands can have at this time. If youre struggling at the moment, I want you to know thats ok. Give yourself time to acknowledge what youre feeling. If youre ready to reach out and learn new coping mechanisms, Id love to hear from you! Send me a message to book a free 30 minute discovery call, so we can have a chat about how I can support you to live a more balanced and fulfilling life, that is much more than living to work everyday. Love Tash

15.01.2022 Does saying yes when we really mean no, leave you in a cycle of guilt, self judgement and a longing to one day put your own needs first? It did for me Having zero boundaries and a huge fear of letting everyone else down was one of the major causes of my burnout. ... I now realise keeping everyone else happy actually meant letting myself down, and I missed out on so much of what was most important to me. So how can we get comfortable having boundaries of steel and communicating these effectively whilst in the moment? Practice! Practice! Practice! Take out a piece of paper and write down all your boundaries. Dont rush, this might take some time, and give yourself space to revisit add to this list as ideas start to flow. Do you want to finish work on time 3 nights per week to have dinner with your partner and kids? Do you want to attend that online yoga class at 5.30pm? Or, are you already loaded up with work and cant take on any further tasks from your boss? Once your list feels complete, take out your phone, open your voice memo app, press record and read out loud your list. Trust me, this feels strange! But the key here is to get comfortable with hearing yourself say your boundaries out loud. Then once you find yourself in a moment where your boundaries are being tested, play your voice recording to yourself (I recommend headphones here!) BEFORE responding. Id love to hear your thoughts in the comments below or send me a direct message to arrange a time to discuss how I can support you to live a more balanced work/life Love Tash

07.01.2022 Learning to say No to things and people that deplete my energy has been a huge part of my recovery from Burnout. But how many times have you heard it’s simple, just say no? It’s well intentioned advice, yet can trigger an ongoing fear of failure the moment we give in and say yes when that first No is challenged ... From my experience as a people pleaser, perfectionist and recovering workaholic... Saying an assertive No is not the first and only step. Its something that comes naturally with developing confidence and knowing your self worth. Contact me to find out more about how I can help you to find your Assertive No and start living life on your terms tashhenderson.com.au #tashhendersoncoaching #worklifebalance
