20.01.2022 The weather looks a bit cold but fine to have my little honey stall on the next Sorell market, Sunday the 6th of May. Hope to see you there. Agnes from sweet swarm

20.01.2022 Fresh honeycomb harvested today. The most delicious sticky goodness melting into your hot toast. Bottled & available for sale from home at our gate or on the Bream Creek Farmers Market Easter Sunday the 1st of April or on the Sorell Market on Monday the 2nd of April together with Raw Teatree & Eucalypt Flower Honey. $10/jar.

15.01.2022 Finally labelled and off to the Bream Creek Farmers Market community stall on the first Sunday in March with a basket full of honey jars. I can deliver to Hobartians & in the local area, send per post or come in person and collect your local honey at the apiary gate of 11 River Street, Carlton.

14.01.2022 We will be collecting our first wild & raw honey in january from Flinders Island. A natural & raw blend of Teatree, Kunzea and Blue gum flowers, all starting to bloom in october. Most of my bees are now living permanently on this wild island with an abundance & a great diversity of native flowers all around, no farms for miles, no humans and no pollution. It will be amazing to taste the first multifloral honey.

13.01.2022 Are you well prepared for the cold season to stay healthy and immune? Take a rest and enjoy a hot cuppa with honey & lemon to prevent cold & flue.

12.01.2022 If you love honey, buy local honey that has not been heat treated & liquified to be processed quickly in commercial processes. Unheated raw honey contains natural enzymes, antioxidants and has anti bacterial and antifungal properties, all those amazing healing properties are lost when heated. Also local honey contains the local pollen of your area and helps cure hayfever....additional it is best to confirm that the bees have never been treated with antibiotics and have not been driven around miles from flower source to flower source. So called migratory beekeeping aids spreading diseases...best if you love bees & have space in the backyard with plenty of flowers build a little bee hive and ensure no one in your surroundings is using herbicides and pesticides!!!

11.01.2022 Our little bees are very busy collecting the nectar from our local Coastal Teatree at the Carlton Beach reserve. The whole dune site is starting to look beautiful and is turning into a sea of flowers. A little patience and we can stock up on beautiful coastal teatree honey again.

07.01.2022 ...I seem to have hit a little sweet spot and will be able to offer some honey jars in a stall on Salamanca Market this Saturday. Stall No 240, next to Wooby's Lane...woohooo!

05.01.2022 These are the effects of intensive farming globally and the use of pesticides & herbicides...hand pollinating orchards due to the absence of insects.

03.01.2022 Our bees on Flinders Island created this summer season a delicious Coastal Teatree honey. Raw, squeezed from the wax comb,100% unheated, containing all the beneficial enzymes, ripened on natural wax comb and from very happy bees. ..I left plenty for the hardworking island bees.
