24.01.2022 Absolutely thrilled to be nominated for the Best Cabaret Award for Melbourne Fringe this year! 19.01.2022 Looking forward to this week performing at Chapel Off Chapel then at The Butterfly Club later this month with the absolute legend that is Dolly Diamond ! I feel incredibly grateful, terrified and excited all at once. 2020 shot me nerves and provided me with swerves I never thought I'd have to endure. I'm sure we all feel the same. This photo was taken as a side series to my Trash Talk photoshoot with the one and only Alexis Desaulniers-Lea Photography and I was anxious as h...ell to get back into the studio again, because I had spent most of last year in pajamas or oversized t-shirts with no one looking at me in anything other than a very well lit tiny zoom screen box/YouTube stream. I didn't know if I could bring it still IRL. But as usual Alexis worked her magic and helped me pull it out. (PS BOOK HER). Accepting things are different is part of the process, that never stops. So, as much as I FUCKIN HATED 2020, I'm grateful that it's finally made me come to terms with this fact. We've been through some hectic times, and we still may have more to come. 16.01.2022 crazy eyes energy The sheer joy of last night was palatable. It was like no time had passed at all, yet we all felt like we were doing it for the first time. . . "Which hand is my mic in, how do I walk down stairs in heels... shit was that my line I missed!?"... . . . It was my first full length gig since March and I could not have asked for a more supportive and talented bunch to share it with. So many people to thank ... so hold your hats! To Ibby + Cate for being the heart and soul of Chapel Off Chapel and the amazing techs that made us look and sound so good! To Luke Gallagher for being our production manager and cheerleader! To Vivian Fonteyn and Belinda Hanne Reid our fearless backing vocalists / dressers / musicians - you were excellent! To Rachel for being such a powerhouse voice and inspiring storyteller it was a joy to share the stage with you ! AND last but not least my darling friend, mentor and cabaret queen of the world the fearless Dolly Diamond thank you for bringing us all on this journey, I love you so much and can't wait to do it all again at the end of the month The Butterfly Club thanks to our fab audience too we really have missed you! 13.01.2022 There are a few things in the works atm that I am EXTREMELY excited about and can't wait to share with you. New shows, live performances and even some touring! As much as this year sucked, it has been bloody brilliant to fall in love all over again with what I do. I'm approaching it with a new found respect and appreciation. I am also finding that because of the break I am backing myself a lot more than I used to, and going forward with ideas that usually I'd be more cautious... about (due to my anxiety brain). I'm TOTALLY being that vague social media person right now (IM SORRY I HATE MYSELF FOR IT TOO). 09.01.2022 I'm back baby My first full length show since March 15 2020 is this Friday at the gorgeous Chapel Off Chapel ! We had our final rehearsal today for "Diamond, Dunham & York" and to say I'm excited is an UNDERSTATEMENT! It's been an absolute joy working with with Rachel Dunham and Dolly Diamond on this show with our fabulous BVs Belinda Hanne Reid + Vivian Fonteyn ! The amount of joy in this picture times about 1000 cats/nugs/wine is probably the level I'll be on Friday nigh...t + we're already sold out!!! Scuse me if I cry a little as soon as I hit the stage.
