25.01.2022 The Australian Government has put a hold on all elective surgery and our Tasmanian State Government has moved to a stage three lockdown. It is up to all of us to comply with these directives in order to protect the individual and the community, save lives and bring an end the COVID-19 pandemic as soon as possible. TasIVF is complying with our State and Federal Government directives and reducing your risk of exposure to COVID-19. What does this mean for you?... Treatment cycles already started will be completed Emergency/Urgent fertility preservation (eg cancer patients) will continue to be treated New cycles including egg collections, embryo transfer and artificial insemination will be postponed If you are planning a frozen embryo cycle and your cycle does start, please feel free to call the clinic and register so that if restrictions are lifted before your treatment day we can hopefully proceed with your treatment. TasIVF is here to help and will continue to; Be available for online/teleconference consultations to help and support you as much as we can Help you plan your treatment so that you can start as soon as possible when the lockdown is lifted Look after your embryos, eggs and sperm. These are not at risk and are monitored 24 hours per day Support patients having ovulation induction, using urine testing and monthly blood tests which does not require visiting the clinic We ask for your patience and to stand united as Australians. Play your part to protect yourselves, your family, your friends and all Australians. We will continue to support you as best we can and we are here to help you as soon as the situation allows.

25.01.2022 Hobart City Council have informed us that from Monday 6th July there will be works occurring on Melville Street between Argyle and Campbell Streets. These works will impact traffic flow along Melville Street and there will be no on street parking for the duration of the works. HCC expect that the works will take approximately 5 weeks. Hobart City Council will soon be commencing a trial of bicycle lanes on Campbell Street, this will mean that during peak hours 7am-9am and 4pm-6pm there will be a Clearway lane. On street parking will not be allowed during these times, however will be available the rest of the day. We ask that you allow an additional few minutes to find parking during the changes.

23.01.2022 Mothers Day celebrates the relationship between mother and child but it is a day that can be filled with pain and sadness for those who are struggling with infertility or loss. It can feel as if there are reminders everywhere of something you desperately want, but for now, feels out of reach. If you find yourself struggling take some time to recognise, acknowledge and honour your feelings. Give yourself permission to cope in the way that feels best for you spending time ...with your partner or a close friend, doing an activity you enjoy or find calming. This year will be quite different as many of us are unable to spend time with extended family as we usually would. Take care of yourselves and know if you need us the counselling team is here to have a chat and provide some support.
