08.01.2022 As we all know, Spring weather here in Tassie can be very up and down and on Sunday just gone we had one of the coldest starts to the day with frost in many parts of the state, add in to that some pelting rain to start the morning off. Mad? no.... let's call them the truly brave ....66 competitors, plus handlers and their dogs travelled from across the state to compete in our 3rd annual TASSI Mud Run held at Redbanks. 39 obstacles were scaled, crawled through, balanced on, ...swam in, 5km walked or jogged with their ever faithful dog by their sides. No bragging rights for winning or the fastest time, every single competitor was a winner having completed the course. A huge shoutout to committee members Courtney, Laura, Hayley, Matthew, Prue and Levi for all of the work put in to organising and running the event, and to Lindsay and Jeremy from Redbanks for your continued support for the event and assistance on the day and last but not least congratulations to ALL participants, both 2 and 4 legged for braving the elements and making the day the success it was. Planning has already commenced for 2021 so keep an eye out here for announcements. What we can say is, it will be bigger and better and a must do event with your dog, a day the whole family can enjoy. Thank you to NEGRC and ...WASSA for also submitting excellent applications, it was a tough decision. Now fingers crossed that everything goes to plan and we get a full season in, it’s been too long!
