13.01.2022 Andrew Mason to Tasmanian Rural Youth Past Members Association September 2 at 10:44 PM Howdy to all you Tassie RY Pasties "down south" from the South Aussie RY Pastie connections over the waters Just thought wed send down some news to you all so you can see what your ol mainland SA RY Pastie mates are up to !! Below is what we posted on our SA RY F/B page... Also, thrown in some piccies as well from the night - maybe some of you might recognize some of the ol crew from up this way from years ago. Presented your "Calf Clubs to Field Days" book to the crowd - was well received with lots of interest & thumbs up. Hope you are all good you Tassie mob down south. Cheers, Maso ** Ah, you can tell when Adel Show week is on ! - all the country crew are in town for the annual trip to the big smoke. And so also for our annual South Aust Rural Youth Ambassadors AGM & Pasties Dinner on Fri night at The Goody pub for a few catch up reds & frothys regaling past stories long & tall with some now folk lore. So good to see the ol crew together with everyone coming from far & wide, north & south. Good to see the Gilletts from over Elliston way & the Ingliss from Kimba representing the wild West Coasters to our ol buddy Marg Hutchesson over from Melb town. Held a quick AGM with positions being voted (no party spill here - ha !!) & in true Rural Youth democratic style (!!) with the usual dob in process prevailing, saw Debo Clarke as Treasurer & yours truly gonged as el Presidente for another year !! One item that did come up was renewed interest in progressing the South Aust Rural Youth history story to print & publication along with seeking any funding opportunities out there. The Tassie RYers released their history book earlier this year - our RY history is a great story as well so lets do it - stay tuned. A great catch up night - so good to see everyone. Maso **
