16.01.2022 The first of two tours of Not so Easy and Fifty Shades of Blue happened yesterday. Peter Hughes was so gracious to take our members on a guided tour and answer all our curious questions. Both exhibitions are well worth a visit for connoisseurs of ceramics. Lots of ooooos and aaaahs going on. #tasmanianceramics #guidedtours #tmag #ceramicscollection #tasmanianceramicssocialevent

09.01.2022 Posted @withregram @bronwynclarkeceramics It would be lovely to share this event with neighbours, friends, fellow potters, my local community, visitors to the Huon Valley and your friends. This is an annual event, very interrupted by COVID-19, especially now in South Australia and more recently Victoria. Usually held in August it encourages hundreds of Potters around Australia to open their studios to their communities to show and share with everyone the astoundingly involv...ed processes we go through to produce the treasures you will find. From raw clay and crushed rock come individual wonders that even surprise the makers themselves. A true mix of alchemy and skill. Do call in when you see the flags fly this weekend 21/22 November 10 - 4. 9 Glovers Rd Deep Bay. Support your local potters and buy something very special for your family and friends for this very different Christmas. Demonstrations and light refreshments to celebrate. . #bronwynclarkeceramics #australianceramicsopenstudios2020 #australianceramics #tasmanianceramics #studiopotter #handmadeincygnet #huonvalleytas #tasmanianartistsandmakersofthehuon #artistsandmakersofthehuon #hobartandbeyond #brandtasmania #tasmanian #buysomethingtasmanian #designtasmania See more

07.01.2022 Posted @withregram @ridgelinepottery Early morning on the ridge. As I come on shift at 6 am the moon is setting in the west behind the kiln with flame on the blowhole. Great work overnight by Peta and then @kellyaustinceramics and Tom Bath to set up for the run home. #winterfire2020 #tasmanianceramics

04.01.2022 Posted @withregram @potterscroft The sign is up, another job done in preparation. Thanks Amos for making it likely to survive if the wind blows #australianceramics #openstudios

03.01.2022 Posted @withregram @waldies.school @rachelmbremner captured the fun and games of the final preparations for the Open Studio Weekend...at least if we can’t find Dee in the morning, we know where to start looking. This is our new shop setup, skilfully crafted by @jannymckinnon. It’s right next to our kitchen, so it’s entirely possible that the promise of good coffee will raise Dee from any hiding places... We are really looking forward to seeing you all, old friends and new, at the pottery over the weekend. We have so much cake...and chai and noodles! Come partake and see what shenanigans we get up to - and what can be achieved by a group of awesome women.

03.01.2022 Our first Workshop of 2020 Back to Basics - Glazing for the Beginner is now open for bookings. All the details can be found at http://tasmanianceramics.com/workshops/ @ Hobart, Tasmania

03.01.2022 In this time of social distancing, looking after the soul is important - creating lovely work and buying art from local artisans is a proven pick me up! Don’t f...orget that we are a valuable community resource not just for materials but also for those special gifts. It’s possible that our opening hours might be more limited in the next weeks but if you phone first and someone is here working then you should be able to visit. For the time being we are still open for business and creating as usual. See more

02.01.2022 Posted @withregram @judemaisch Reflection. On the bedroom wall is a pastel drawing done by my Auntie Eth over 100 years ago when she was a schoolgirl in Launceston. After morning meditation I looked at the wall and noticed the beautiful serene face of my favourite @sallycurryceramics figure reflected in the glass. It is a reminder to maintain my meditation practice and to try and remain calm in this new world. #tasmanianceramics #figurativeceramicsculpture #australianceram...ics #serenity #meditation See more
